EGYPTEgypt has impressed the world with its astonishing features. Egypt held 2 of the worlds Seven Wonders of the World.

The Great Pyramids of Giza.

One of Egypts massive attractions is the pyramids. They are huge, each one is massive and it still is a mystery how the Egyptians got each block up on top of each other to build the pyramid.

There is also the the Sphinx and it's a cat and human. It is one of the biggest attractions there.

Egyptian women cook molokhia, a dish of vegtables mixed with leaves of chorchus oliterous. One of the most traditional Egyptian dishes it is not easy to perfect its taste.

An animal that is mostly found in warm deserts like Egypt is the camel. The camel can give rides around Egypt in the dessert. The camel can survive in harsh conditions because it stores food within its humps on its back.

Egypt also has many varieties of birds which live and feed along the Nile. The Nile is a popular holiday destination for cruises.

Egyptians play music called saridi at parties or festivals.

The famous footballer Mohamed Salah grew up at Egypt as a kid.

Egyptians in their spare time worship the god Allah.

The capital city of Egypt is called Cairo.Egypt is a warm hot country that is mostly dessert.

The river Nile is in Egypt and is the biggest river in the whole world.

A lot of Egyptians are Muslim, roughly around 90% of Egypt is Muslim. Egyptian houses are made from stone and sand. The current president of Egypt is called Abdel Fattah el-sisi. He has been in office since June 8th 2014. 7th January is Christmas day. 25th January is Revolution day and National Police Day. The most famous King was Tutankamun because his Sycophocus was pure gold and his tomb was full of treasure.After the opening of Tuts tomb, many strange things occured afterwards to the man Howard Carter who opened the tomb.

A cobra - The sign of upper Egypt came into Carters house and ate his pet canary.Vultures the sign of lower Egypt, circled around the archaeoligists all day.

Lord Canorvon became ill on his way to Cairo.He died only 2 weeks later because of blood poisoning.At the exact moment that Canarvon died, all the electricity in Cairo went out.

Another famous Queen was Cleopatra.

Egyptian mummies hold a lot of treasure in their

tombs. Some people stole stuff then sold them for a lots of money. Below are some pictures from the Cairo museum where a lot of treasure is displayed today.

There would be a lot of cruise ships up the Nile for transport and they would also use camels to get around the dessert.

The Egyptian language is called Arabic. Roughly 300,000,000 people talk Arabic in the world. Egypts official currency is the Egyptian Pound (EGP). One Egyptian pound is made up of 100 piastres. The smallest demonimition are 25 piastres and 50 piastres, both of which are available in coin or note. Notes also come in the following demonimations 1,5,10,20,50,100,200. The Red Sea is on the coast of Egypt along the Sinai Peninsula, which is one of the best places in the world for Scuba Diving.

Hieroglyphics were the formal writing used in ancient Egypt.The use of hieroglyphics were in the Early Bronze Age.They first found out how to read hieroglyphics in the 1820s by Jean Francois Champollion,with the help of the Rosseta Stone.

The reason I chose to carry out my project on the country Egypt was because I always go to the Ulster Museum with my family to see Takabuti, an Eyptian mummy that was brought to Northern Ireland in the 1800's and one day I would like to visit Egypt.
