region in terms of inhabitants

• The most complex region in terms of

territorial structure (Bucharest – excessive

polarization, has inhibited the urban

development)

• In 2007, generated 13% of the national

GDP)

Elaborate the Regional Innovation Strategy of South Muntenia Region in

order to improve its sustainable development, in the context of the new

knowledge – based economy, by promoting innovation as regional policy.

• Budget: 1,650,269.30 €

• Aim – improving local and regional policies and action plans to

generate new job opportunities for highly qualified human capital..

• Objectives

• Generation and filling of job opportunities provided by the regional

innovation system to the highly qualified human capital to local (talent

retention) and external (talent attraction).

� Identify the mismatches between supply and demand and the measures

required to tackle them

� Exchange of experience and best practices

• 11 Partners – Spain, Italy, Norway, United Kingdom, Ireland,

Lithuania, Latvia, Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania

• Analyses human capital needs (demand) at the research and

technology centers, innovative companies, interfaces agencies and

start-ups;

• Evaluate the supply of highly qualified human capital and identify

skill weaknesses and mismatches with existing demand;

• Identify, assess and transfer of innovative policies and measures to

avoid brain drain
