Single confirmed case
Clean and disinfect affected areas
Cases & contacts can return once the isolation period is completed
and they are well.
Not everyone is a
close contact…
…usually people on
the same table +
servers if not
distancing
Use social media with
care
The better you
prepare, the easier
to contain…
If case wasn’t in your setting while infectious - no further action

Clean and disinfect
PHE will provide resources & support
Call PHE & Local Authority again if:
• The situation worsens
• There is any media interest
• You have any concerns
An outbreak is
manageable - we are
used to doing this – give
us a call if concerned
You don’t need to
contact trace - in a
larger outbreak, PHE
would use venue lists to
identify possible
contacts – useful to log
table numbers
Remind staff – narrow
galleyways, coffee
breaks – still count as
contact
