FACT SHEET WHAT IS BALTIMORE FASHION WEEK?

Baltimore Fashion Week is Baltimore’s annual high-fashion professional runway event. As a proclaimed event of Baltimore, the 2010 production of Baltimore Fashion Week is scheduled for Thursday, August 19, 2010 through Saturday, August 21, 2010. This year’s production is entitled, Re-Inventing the Impossible: fashion!!! Baltimore Fashion Week 2010 will be held at the Sheraton Baltimore North in Towson. Baltimore Fashion Week is in its 3rd year of providing a professional level of exposure to high school, college, university, and independent designers that showcase “rack ready” fashions to the residents and guests of Baltimore during this week long event.

WHO PARTICIPATES IN BALTIMORE

FASHION WEEK? Baltimore Fashion Week offers several internship and volunteer positions. These positions are filled with high school, college/university students, and residents of Maryland. Providing a hands-on educational and training experience is extremely important to the producers of Baltimore Fashion Week. Vendors will also have an opportunity this year to showcase their high fashion products and services to the guests of this event.

HIGHLIGHTS OF BALTIMORE FASHION

WEEK Due to overwhelming requests, workshops have been added back to the schedule of events for the 2010 production of Baltimore Fashion Week. These workshops include a fitness, couture, and fashion styling session. “THE INSTALLATION” Baltimore Fashion Week’s Designer Sneak Review – 2nd Annual Press Party, is scheduled for Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Aloft BWI Airport Hotel. Once other events are confirmed they will be added to the event schedule.

WHO ATTENDED BALTIMORE FASHION

WEEK

Baltimore Fashion Week for the past two years has captured the attention of over 6,000 fashion conscious individuals, which has resulted in a standing room only crowd. Within the past two years Baltimore Fashion Week has provided a professional pathway for over 71 designers, locally, nationally and internationally. With the continuance of positive press and the support from Baltimore, Baltimore Fashion Week is certain to be the “next go to” event for fashion weeks.
