  • 1. PAKISTANS MEDIA BOOM The current media revolution sweeping thenation began ten years ago when Pakistanhad just one television channel, according tothe UKs Prospect Magazine. Today it hasover 100. Together they have begun to openup a country long shrouded bypolitical, moral and religious censorshiptaking on the government, breaking socialtaboos and, most recently, pushing a newnational consensus against the Taliban.
