ABOUT: LE STRANGE

-Ideally, this exhibition would be held on the third

full moon of the year, in a dark coniferous forest.

Bloody marys and whiskey gingers would be served

to those of age (with the addition of ten people who

are under-age, those ten would be determined by a

lottery) and the lighting would come from

strategically placed napalm.

-Le Strange, is a French word that I made up. It

derives from the English word “Strange”.

CAROLEE SCHNEEMANN

Meat Joy, a 1964 film involves partially nude men and women dancing with various sorts of raw fish, chicken and sausage. Most of Schneemann’s works at this time were very sexual and graphic…so for the sake of time we’ll be moving on.
