INTRODUCTION
Friendster was the first to introduce virtual communities and online
social networking
It was founded by computer programmer Jonathan Abrams in 2002 in
Mountain View, California.
Followed by Myspace and Facebook in 2005
People using this friend searching websites to create :
- safer and more effective enviroment for meeting new people
- connection to friends and also friends of friends

BACKGROUND/PROBLEM
Nowadays friends searching websites are very popular in the world.
There are many type of friend searching website that can be browse such as
Facebook, Friendster, Myspace and many more.
In Royal Malaysian Air Force ,especially at AIR FORCE COLLEGE, Cadet
Officers are majority have their own friend searching website
With this friend searching website, many advantages and disadvantages
can we get. So, with this survey we can know that with the usage of friendsearching website, the study of Cadet Officers are affected or not

To find out which friends searching websites are most popular and
To identify the effect of that websites to their study life.

FINDINGS
From the survey carried out, the finding showed that many of them have
shown their interest in Myspace that recording 53% , 34% like Friendster andjust only 13% like to use Facebook . Refer figure 1

I also investigate the effect on the usage of this websites with their study
time. 14% very disagree that this websites effects their study time, 53% of
them disagree, 23% agree, and 10% very agree. Refer figure 2

CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
From the findings we can conclude that:
Cadets were most likely to use Myspace than other
website. They also disagree that the usage of friends
searching websites will effect their study.
From the conclusion there are few actions that can betaken :
Give advice to all cadets, so they will reduce their time
to browse their websites.
Suggest more application or new thing on the friendsearching website so that the website will be more
exciting to browse and other than that, many people
would like to join the websites.

FINDINGS
The frequency of the usage of the websites are 60% of
them use the websites during free time, 13% on weekend,
10% 1-3 days per week, 7% are always and once a month,and 3% everyday. Refer figure 3

The prove that they like to making friends through this
websites is 37% of them have more than 200 friends, 23%
have 51-200 friends while just 17% have less than 50

CONCLUSION
It can be concluded that most of the cadets can manage their time wisely becausethey just using the websites during freetime so that it doesnt effect their
study time
It can be concluded that they feel easier and faster to make friends through
the websites
RECOMMENDATION
It can be recommended that Academic Squadron should equipped with wirelessinternet service to increase the usage of the websites among the cadets
