    Weaknesses

    The main weakness was the cartoon issue bythe Denmark cartoonist.

    Helpline always busy and almost impossible to

    get connected to the customer care center. Lack of coverage in a major part of the country

    Lack of franchises in large cities and thats why

    there is a large number of customers on singlefranchises.

    Due to the different packages they are offeringto the customers, the customers are more likelyto build a trust on the company and be loyal to

    the brand They have the chance to expand their services

    in the areas where its competitors are notworking presently

    Can launch a fixed line service like they alreadyhave in the SCANDANAVIAN countires.

    The main threat is the competitors (mobilink, warid)

    Another threat in the muslim countries isthat its in the scandanavian region and themuslim world can get against telenoranytime because of the denmark cartoonissue.

    Placing telenor in BCG matrix.

    Telenor can be placed in the star quadrantof BCG matrix

    Because of the high market share andhuge growth.

    The revenues generated is furtherinvested in advertisements.

    The next step for telenor will be a cashcow.

    Problems faced by telenor

    On different occasions Telenor has faceddifferent problems. And still they are havingproblems internally and externally:

    The main problem is that after the cartoon issueit has become very difficult to serve the peoplespecially in Muslim countries.

    Second the employees are joining other cellularservices due to the attractive salaries

    The government is not allowing them thepermission of further franchises all overthe Pakistan.

    The potential employees give priority toother cellular networks, because of thehuge burden of work

    Recommendations

    Well after doing days of research onTelonor, we found some recommendationsof their problems.

    They should provide extra services to theircustomers.

    They should build relations with theupcoming employees by visitinguniversities and providing scholarships.
