Don’t read screens, use them to drive discussions.

Don’t include too much information on each slide.

Don’t use multiple backgrounds in the same presentation.

Don’t use busy backgrounds. Don’t misuse colour. Don’t use small fonts or elaborate font

styles. Don’t insert large chunks of text or

quotations.

Don’t use illegible flow diagrams or charts.

Do allow white space for easy reading in diagrams and flow charts.

Do highlight important key words. Do use large sized font for text (Arial

>32pt is recommended).

Do keep in mind that big bold bar charts help illustrate a point more than simple text.

Use only 3 or 4 key points for each slide.

Use these points to expand for further discussion.

Do insert appropriate diagrams/ photographs/ images to illustrate main points.

Do plan the time appropriately during the presentation.
