• One day, Geometric Jones the geometry/archeology teacher from The Shapes and Old Things College went into his own library. When he was looking for a book he noticed a book he hadn’t seen before. He opened it up and read about an ancient shape script in a 3-D temple. He also read about 3 shape keys that open up the 3-D temple door. At the end of the book it showed a map. It located the 3 keys, the temple, and where he was.

• Geometric Jones took out the book and marked out where to go first second, third, and last.

• He was first going to the Circle Tribe by plane. By the name you can guess the key shape it is going to be a circle. When Geometric Jones got there he was surprised to see that there were circular Indians defending the key on a pole. They threw rubber balls at him to make him get away from the key. Geometric Jones grabbed a wheel from the plane and used it as a shield. When he got up the pole and got the key he jumped off, landed in the plane, and flew off. When he was flying he read about circles. It said that a circle is a round shape with no sides and is 360 degrees.

• Next he flew to Triangle Village. It was luckily deserted but there were a bunch of triangle shapes around. It would be impossible to find the key if it didn’t show a picture of it in the book. But Geometric Jones found it quick on a fountain and got on his way. He read about triangles this time in the book. It said a triangle is pointy and has 3 sides.

• Then Geometric Jones flew to Square Island. When he got there all he saw was sand and palm trees. Then he saw a X. Then he remembered X marks the spot and started digging. He was confused when he saw 2 triangles. Then he went to the plane and he read about squares. It said squares have 4 equal sides and 2 triangles make a square. Once he read that, he combined the triangles and made a square. Then he was off to the 3-D temple.

• Once he got to the 3-D temple he put the 3 keys in to open the door.

• When he got in he used his trusty whip to swing over spikes. The spikes are

3-D triangles called triangular prisms and they have 3 sides and a base.

• When he got over the spikes he saw the shape script. When he walked toward it he stepped on a tile that sunk down. Then a giant boulder was heading right towards Geometric Jones! He grabbed the script and started to run from the boulder. The tile is a 3-D square called a cube. A cube has 6 equal sides. The boulder is a 3-D circle called a sphere.

• He used his whip to swing above the spikes again and ran

out of the temple. The boulder fell on the spikes.

• When he was out of the temple he read the script and noticed it was ripped in two! Then he looked in his book and noticed that some pages where missing. Then he remembered that his book was

overdue.

• Next time Geometric Jones will try and find the other half of

the shape script and bumps into a mysterious foe!
