Prep School CurriculumAPPEALING TO THEIR NATURAL CURIOSITY

We are an accredited International

Baccalaureate (IB) World School. Through the IB Primary Years Programme, your child will enjoy a well-rounded education of the highest international standard.

There’s a real emphasis on skills and values relevant to today’s world, including – of course – literacy and numeracy alongside collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, communication, character and citizenship. Your child will learn Te Reo Maori, explore their creative side with art, drama and music, build their confidence and skills playing games and sports and develop in our immersive learning environment with robotics, coding and problem solving.

WE ARE AN IB WORLD SCHOOL

Innovative learning approaches in the Prep School prepare students for digital futures through hands-on engagement and critical thinking. Project based learning is incorporated across the curriculum culminating in a 10 week interdisciplinary project called the PYP Exhibition in Year 6.

The IB Primary Years Programme feeds into the Middle School. It develops the skills needed to gain the most success from the IB Middle Years and, ultimately, the senior Diploma Programmes.

Class sizes are small, so no student slips under the

radar. Your child’s teacher will have the time and space to give them the individual attention they need. Right from day one, your child’s teacher will encourage them to be an active participant in their own learning.

Our fantastic teachers are our greatest asset, but our facilities are amazing too.

The Prep School has its own music studio, visual art and design studio and library. An advantage of three schools

in one College is that we also have access to the resources and facilities in the Middle and Senior School such as science laboratories, a recording studio, music rooms and technology suites with maker spaces.

It’s fully networked with pods of laptops and iPads for students to use. Students in Years 5-6 move on to one to one learning with their own devices.
