Match On Action

• Match on action is where an action is filmed in many different shots and then later edited together forming one continuous clip.

180 Degree Rule

• The 180 degree rule is where two characters should have the same left/right relationship to each other.• This is where a character on the left side of the

screen stays the same distance throughout the scene, and this is the same for the character on the right.

Shot Reverse Shot

• Shot reverse shot is where a conversation is filmed in two sections and then edited together showing a flowing conversation.• This technique gives a point of view shot during

a conversation.
