You are involved in school activities, sports, hobbies, family activities, prom, and getting ready for graduation. You are comfortable in your school and family. You really feel like you belong here. Now is the time to start to prepare for your journey back home. You have changed and so have your friends and family awaiting your arrival in your home country. They expect the same friend, son, or daughter to return. You have grown and matured, and have had experiences they might not ever experience. You have become a member of a new family that I hope will last the rest of your life and are leaving them behind. It may seem overwhelming or seem to be something you would rather ignore. Part of your journey is to face these issues and prepare for going home. Pre-Return Orientation is upon us. Please add it to your calendar as it is a MANDATORY event. This is required by the US State Department for all exchange students. WHEN: Saturday, May 16 th 2009 (Juice, coffee, and muffins will be provided at check-in time…8:30AM) WHERE: ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH 824 NE 4 TH AVE CAMAS, WASHINGTON (directions attached) TIME: 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. WHAT TO BRING: Salad or dessert to share FAMILY COFFEE HOUR: 9:00 – 10:30 As you can see, we will be finished early afternoon for those of you who have a prom that evening. This is the last time that you will be together as a group, as some will depart in May. Plan to enjoy time with your friends. We will have a lunch, so we would like you to bring a salad or a dessert. Sandwich makings, chips, and drinks will be provided. So mark your calendars for Saturday, May 16 th 2009, and we will see you then. If you have any questions or concerns, please call or e-mail me. DRIVING DIRECTIONS:
TO:
ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH

CAMAS, WASHINGTON.
From I-5 or I-205 in Vancouver take Hwy. 14 East to Camas, Washington.
Exit at EXIT 12 and follow that street for about 8 blocks past the baseball field until it curvesaround the mill.
Stay in the right lane. You will see a sign for Business 14 pointed to the right and you will
automatically turn right onto Adams Street, which runs in front of the mill.
Go three (3) blocks through the stop light to 3rd Avenue. There is a blinking yellow light anda Texaco station on your left and you HAVE to turn left.
Follow Third Avenue until you see the AFS signs on your left.
We will be meeting in the main building with the sanctuary. Look for the AFS signs.
