PRAIO HISTORY AND MISSION

Praio is a concept brand that comes from a legend. The brand comes from a special relationship, one between Riccardo Manente, founder of the brand and his old friend Edmondo the fisherman.

Edmondo is a fisherman, that every morning prepares his little boat to sail the Mediterranean Sea.

The 6th September 1989, Edmondo promised to the little Riccardo that if in that day’s work he would have catched the biggest fish, it would have revealed the secret of PRAIO fish, handed down from generation to generation, jealously guarded.Legend says that the only way to procreate for the Praio fish is that the female lays her eggs and the male recognizes the fertile ones because they are striped purple.From this legend, the love for nature and the Italian craft tradition, the love for simplicity and for the care of each detail comes PRAIO, whose hallmark is indeed purple, like the stripes of the famous fish eggs, printed on product packaging Praio. Praio is CRAFTSMANSHIP : Each item is personally made by the hands of skilled tailors and artisans who prepare the materials to be sewn. The garments are manufactured and controlled by professionals who have numbered the collection item by item.

Each collection is produced in strictly limited edition and is identified by a serial number (003,004 ...).Praio is a brand focused on the made in Italy, on manualitly and crafstmanship applied to revolutio-nary techniques.Each piece is numbered and handcrafted in a progressive way through a secret combination of the serial numbers and calculated through algorithmic formulas.

Through this special technique PRAIO guarantees the originality of the garments and traceability at all the phases of the production process and sales and makes recognizable any “fake” garment.

Praio has been launched on market as a fashion brand, producing a limited edition of garments characterized by a strong visual and tactile impact. There is no reason in the near future, such cha-racteristics will be transposed in a production of design objects

Each collection will be produced in limited edition. This gives the garments a character of exclusivity and refinement.

The Praio collection is composed by a set of pants, shorts, sweatshirts, jackets and minidresses simple but revolutionary.

After the success of the 5-pocket pants in fleece, launched on market in september 2010, Praio has developed new models, new colors and finishings, implementing the collection. Flexible forms and many ways to interpret the customer’s taste, the collection wants to break down the seasons, designed to allow the wearer to interpret their own leisure or work time, depending on his style, image, and why not? mood of the day.

Praio garments are suitables for a party as well as a race in a park, able to highlight the body curves as well as hide them.

Praio revolutionizes the world of casual-wear lifestyle transferring the know-how of the denim jeans treatments on fabrics.Firts of all the fleece treated, cut after engineering studies of the clothing that optimize the resistance and surrender to the finished garment. All models are inspired by the world of gymnastic Made in the USA mixed together with the classic shapes of the Made in Italy.

Through many tests, Praio has managed to create a fleece denim .Trousers made of a soft and supple fabric like the fleece, but cut, sewn and finished with the techniques of denim.

Praio is environmentally friendly and enhances the ecosystem using natural materials, RECYCLABLE, recycling and recovery. Use the heads of treatments that minimize the use of water and chemicals with low environmental impact. A wide color palette is combined with the choice of materials, but deliberately sought “raw”, minimizing the use of finishing pollutants.

Praio encourages its customers to recycle! It‘s an ethic concept brand, starting from the packaging, made of recovered wood boxes, hand painted by craftsmen.

Praio is also charity: for every item sold in fact, you make a donation to charity in the pediatric ward, “Salus Pueri” of the Hospital of Padua giving a smile to children and a chance to recover more through the work of extreme avaguardia of doctors who work through the pet-terapy and the circus in the ward.

5 pockets woman / man

100% cotton, brushed gauzed fleece and not gauzed/ micro fleece in two variations for winter and summer. With cuff, or zip finished with the selvedge PRAIO. Sizes of the American denim. In versions mottled gray or colors of the season palette.Low impact dyes and dyeing method typical of the world of denim. Belt-mounted trimmer, adhesive and inner belt and the flap (with snap flap man - woman flap zip)

Chino man / woman

100% cotton, brushed gauzed fleece and not gauzed/ micro fleece in two variations for winter and summer. With cuff, or zip finished with the selvedge PRAIO Sizes of the American denim. Front pleats and front pocket “America.” Back pockets with a welt for woman, man version with a flap.

Women’s Dress

Modal wool jersey and not gauzed fleece in two variations for winter and summer The neck is machined to become in winter version a kind of scarf with a neckline or bare shoulders or both. Sizes of the American denim for the top parts (typical of Praio only). Available in the colors of the season palette. Low impact dyes and dyeing method typical of the world of denim.


Shorts for men and women

100% cotton, brushed gauzed fleece , fit over for the 5 pokets model. Chino model with pleats and kombat with pokets.

Vest man / woman

100% cotton. Brushed gauzed fleece in the winter and summer version. A vest with details taken from the 60’s. Slim to wear with oversized shirt or T-shirt. In one version with mottled gray with pocket pochette Praio.

Polo man / woman - DIFFERENTIATE

100% cotton. The model that will accompany Emiliano Brembilla and Simone Raineri respectively in Shanghai world championship and to the Olympics in London. Print on back with the first lesson of Italian Praio: “DIFFERENTIATE” Recognizable color PRAIO, with logo on the front showing the limited number of collections.

Cardigan

100% cotton. Brushed gauzed fleece in the winter and summer version. A revised version of PRAIO cardigan with typical details and fit tight around the shoulder as the body of the standard model. Two patch pockets on the front. Collar designed to remain upright at all times, throught the use of a internal rib that supports the weight.

PRAIO aims to represent the Italian excellence in the world. For this purpose, the Praio testimonials are the famous Emiliano Brembilla, captain of the Italian national swimming award-winning European champion, bronze medal in the 400m and silver in the 4x200m at the championship World of Fukuoka in 2001, two gold medals and one silver medal in Berlin in 2002, the European gold medal in Madrid in 2004, competing in world swimming championship Shanghai 2011, and Simone Raineri, gold medal at the Sydney Olympics in 2000 and a silver medal at the Beijing Olympics in 2008., he will play in the national team for the 2012 London Olympics.
