In 2016 we pushed to have a levy placed on the fall ballot... The levy would install a tax rate of 0.6 percent of a cent per $100 assessed valuation on owner-occupied homes, the article says... the levy would provide about $300,000 annually giving it a sustainable source of revenue...to the recycling program. Initial request asking to be placed on the commission agenda to discuss was ignored Had to wait until the next meeting. Leading into that meeting we pushed the public to contact the commissioners
