Themes-House colours: Red, black and white? The purity of the child, blackness of the story / family relationships and red to represent crime / kidnapping. -Darkness, bad weather, betrayal themes- sharp, tall fonts would be good? It will look uneasy but dramatic, and triggers audience’ interest.-the 7 sins is the theme- can be presentedby having 7 objects / having a devil / hell theme to the poster.

Tagline-‘evil is only a trigger to live’ : This tagline seems to have a lot of mystery in it,as ‘only’ suggests that it is treated like it was nothing, but a trigger suggests that something significant is going to happenafterwards in the plot.-‘Sins as deadly as grace’ : As the soap isdealing with the seven sins, this taglinewould be a good hint for the theme, but also makes the audiences think as ‘Grace’ and ‘Sins’ are two opposite words- the soap also deals with issues of purity and justice as well.-‘He protects, She pretends, they sacrifice’This is in the rules of thirds, which is effective for audience memory. He /She hints that the story is about relationship,but sacrifice also sounds satanic.

Images needed-a woman’s hand holding seven playing cards? (number 1-7) this wouldsuggest that she is going to commit some sins. A little girl holding thecards would be good as well, as it contrasts the sins against purity. -a man holding a joker card or a gun next to her? This will represent that he will be fooled and will get into trouble in the soap opera. -a landscape of the sky looking dark: This overall sets the mood for the poster, which is dark and gloomy. -The setting is going to be in: an alleyway? -this would represent the secrecy of the characters, but is also the scene where the girl getskidnapped. Another setting could be in a house to represent that themain issue is going to be the household / family issues also.

Synergy with Social Media-Putting a facebook page link (Or the main information to get onto the page) into a bottom corner of the poster: Makes the audiences research information the next timethey go on it.-Trigger a campaign on Twitter (By saying: hashtag ‘this’ to a tweet and get a prize etc.(Motivating the audiences for action). -Add logo’s of the most used social media in theposter for visual recognition.

-Have the Masthead of the magazine that thesoap is mentioned (Ie: my magazine). The peoplewho have read/know the magazine will recognisethat it is a magazine. (Or will know if there is a short promotional description on it.

Point of call-The point of call is going to say: ‘Brand new series Thurs 12 Nov 8:30pm’with the BBC2 Logo next to it. This information is vital because it allows the audiences to know when to watch the new soap and on what channel. It is important to have a highrating.

Mind Map - ConclusionNow, what I need to do is to take my desired pictures, which are of the mother holding seven playing cards in both her hands on her back. I also need to take a picture of inside a house, but the window being clearly visible with the grey clouds ( I will use photoshop to do this if the weather is better than this). I will also take a picture of pure clouds in order to compare the two. (If the theme is going to be Red, Black and white, then the weather perhaps doesn’t matter).

I will also need to think about organising photographing sessions on the day where we film the trailer, as all necessary characters are there. The props needs to be ready on the day (cards), and I need to be ready to give instruction to the actors for posing for the poster..etc. Afterwards, I will need to try and search for a suitable font and font style of inspiration, and to start editing the poster.

During the editing process for the poster, I will collect all images that I took on the day then put together all plans of layouts etc, using photoshop. With this program, I can choose and create from it, an appropriate font style, and alter / combine images, but also set the theme or house colours for the poster using colour options. I may edit out the ‘The Wells’ logo into just the logo (with no background) in order to make it combine / suit with the background and the main images. I will also have to obtaina good quality BBC2 logo and add this next to the point of call.
