The Summary Milestone Schedule

Project Introduction

This Pro Forma is formally authorizes the ICEMA Stroke Accreditation Project to devel-op and reinstate the ICEMA level 1 stroke center status. at Loma Linda Medical Center. A project plan will be developed and submitted to the Project Change Con-trol Board for approval. Change Control Board includes Emergency Department’s Executives, Neurology Chair, Medical Center VP of consulting/analyzing, and CEO. The project plan will include: scope statement; schedule; cost estimate; budget; and provisions for scope, resource, schedule, communications, quality, risk, procurement, and stakeholder management as well as project control. All resources will be assigned by the Project Emergency Department Executives.

PROJECT SCOPE

The purpose of the project is to reinstate or level 1 stroke center status with the San Bernardino County Inland counties Emergency Medical Agency (ICEMA.) This project will address the dire need to be a level 1 stroke center in the Inland Empire. Reinstatement would not only increase the number of strokes being treated at our facilities by 30% it will improve the quality of the treatment giving increasing more positive outcomes. In dealing with strokes time is of the essence. The objec-tives in this project is to mitigate cost and risk for the Medical Center and to provide a long term solution for years to come that bene�t Loma Linda Medical Center. High level risk for this project include issues of time, cost for services, transfer cost, performance of both the emergency and neurology departments, and the overall quality of treatment resulting in the di�erence between life and death outcomes in most cases. Success will be determine by reinstatement of the level 1 stroke center status and aligning Loma Linda Medical Center to be the �rst and only Comprehensive stroke Center by The American Heart Association in the Inland Empire.

of the project, and to communicate with all contractors

and management, as required, to ensure successful and

timely completion of the project. The Project Manager is

responsible for developing the project plan, monitoring

the schedule, cost, and scope of the project during

implementation, and maintaining control over the project

by measuring performance and taking corrective action..
