Wetumpka Impact Crater and Science Center

The Wetumpka Center was the site of the 2011 Alabama Wood Comp. The proposal was to build a museum / learning center for the community of Wetumpka that would tell the story of the newly discovered impact crater nearby. The size of the crater does not allow visitors to experience the site in an organized manner, so the museum will allow for both indoor and outdoor exhibits to better explain the crater.
