Crochet Poppy

Materials:

3mm crochet hook, double kni�ng yarn in red or white and black or grey

1. Using red or white yarn, make 4 chain and join with a single crochet to

make a small ring.

2. 1 chain, then 5 double crochet into the ring, and join to the ini!al chain

s!tch.

3. 1 chain then *1 double crochet into the next dc, 2 dc into the next dc*.

Repeat from * to * un!l you reach the star!ng chain and join with a sin-

gle crochet.

4. Make 1 chain and work as row 3.

5. Make 1 chain then work as follows: * 1dc into next dc, 2 dc into next, 2 dc

into next* and repeat to reach star!ng chain and join with a single cro-

chet.

6. Make 1 chain then work 2 dc into each dc round the circle. Join to

star!ng chain and fasten off.

7. To make the centre, use black yarn. Work steps 1-3 above and !e off

leaving a long tail. Sew into the centre of the poppy. Alterna!vely, start

your poppy using black yarn, work rows 1-3, then switch to red yarn.
