The company PRO-MAL IZOLACJE in the last place made insulation of the foundations of the public building. Initially,

the insulation area was 600 m2, but over time it was increased up to 800 m2.

The main contractor has been made the surface three times. Basically, we decided about additional excavation of

foundation benches for 30 cm. After the first day of the subcontractor in agreement with the investor, they asked him

to report to him also on his premises, because it would facilitate his later work. At the end of the work, we again had

to make "another meters", this time it was about bringing foam insulation to the area of polystyrene on the facade.

The project was not complicated, but there were many difficulties around. Despite the agreement signed at the

beginning of the year, and the agreed deadline for the beginning of April, we couldn’t start work until the beginning

of May due rain. Even though there were 1-2 days of weather, the substrate was tested in terms of humidity, so that

the implementation proceeded according to the manufacturer's instructions.

"Once we arrived at the beginning of May, it turned out that high for 2m windows had already been

installed. Unfortunately, with many subcontractors, everyone keeps their deadline and in our case,

we were reschedule due had to wait for the weather.”

The window wrapping was finally taken by the assembly company therefore that we could use the weather and apply

the foam. The foundations (bench, wall) were sprayed with the Poliuretan Spray S-303 system with a density of 33-43

kg / m3, 3-4 cm thick. This closed cell system was usually applied in 3 layers of 1 - 1.5 cm to obtain the minimum

of 3 cm of insulation. In addition, paravanes have been spaced to reduce the risk of moving the pieces of material.

The advantages of foundation insulation with PUR Poliurethane Spray S-303:

no need for protection against mechanical damage (eg bucket foil),

the best insulation material available on the market with high thermal resistance,

allows you to reduce the heating costs of the building by eliminating heat losses through the foundation

(15%),

resistant to root in growth and rot,

thermo and hydro insulation in one material,

protects against groundwater, eliminates moisture,

no welds and technological connections (there will be no thermal bridges),

cheaper and faster isolation from classic solutions,

does not require any special fastening (eg pegging),

very good adhesion to the ground,

instant application.

Something what make the work more difficult were large amounts of debris on the construction site. While the blocks

of aerated concrete can be pulled up with a crane to the ceiling, in the case of foam application on the foundation,

we must move around the building.

On the one hand, there was a problem with the range, despite the 63-meter snake, the contractor had a problem

getting to all places. It required continuous moving of the car on which was the reactor and barrels with material, and

the trailer with the aggregate. On the other hand, the foundation wall had a height of 3 m in places, where it would

be good to use a mobile scaffold, but the passage was impossible due to debris, and a swampy, collapsing ground.

Therefore, all work above 1.5 m was carried out from the ladder, with the additional assurance of a second employee.

"Rubbish mixed with debris demanded a lot of attention from us. A high-pressure hose was cut

almost once, despite the double braid, through the protruding flashing. "

Each construction is different - size, speed, number of companies. In the case of a single-family home, they are usually

their own forces, supported by external companies, which come one after the other. In the case of large buildings, the

work schedule is fixed, contracts signed much earlier, each guarding the deadline to not to pay contractual penalties.

" Despite many difficulties we tried to do the best - exactly and quickly. We felt constant "looking

over the shoulder" of other construction companies who met technology for the first time. Although

these are only foundations that will be covered with soil, we are aware that by doing our job - good

or bad - we create an opinion for the entire industry - either positive or negative. "

For implementation we used Poliuretan Spray S-303. For an average of 3-4 cm on the surface of nearly 800 m2,

we used1200 kg of material (2.5 sets). The material consumption varied depending on the insolation and the

temperature of the substrate. The material was processed in accordance with the TDS card using the Graco A-25

reactor. The application was carried out with the Fusion AP head, hose length 63 mb. The technical consultant

of Synthesia Technology was present at the construction site, which supported the contractor to optimize material

consumption.

By using materials from Synthesia Technology in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations you can get

bridgeless bridging which has perfect adheres to the ground and the spray is predictable with every meter.
