Performance Appraisal module in Oracle HRMS will be used for all appraisal

purposes in MphasiS.

This module can be accessed on the HRMS which is available at

URL: http://mars.corp.mphasis.com/OA_HTML/US/ICXINDEX_BFLPROD_mars.htm

You are required to have a HRMS login id and password to access this module.

This manual will take you through a step by step process of filling up your Self

appraisal and Manager appraisal Form. All the steps are mentioned with a snap

shot reference.

• Enter your user name and password and then choose connect to access the

Oracle applications.

Signing On


E-Business Suite Home

Select Employee Self Service Appraisals


Select the Standard Appraisal Option from the Drop Down

Click Go Button

Appraisal – Setup


Appraisal – Setup

End Date Should only be 31-Oct-10

Enter the Start Date as 01-Nov-09 or

You DOJ whichever is laterSelect the Appraisal Purpose as

Annual Appraisal 2010 from the

drop down


Appraisal – Setup

Click on ‘Torch’ button

to Select the Template

Select the appropriate

template based on your level

Enter PMP% and Click

on ‘Go’ button


Appraisal – Self Rating

Use the Drop Down for Selecting the Self Rating

Click here to view the

description of ‘Competency’

Default Competencies based on

the Template Selected


Appraisal – Add Competencies

Click to Additional Competencies

Use the Wild Card ‘%’ for

searching the competency

and click go

Click Apply to Save

Check appropriate Check box

for selecting the competency


Appraisal – Update Competencies

Click to Add Competency Details

Update Competency details and

Click Apply to save changes


Appraisal – Add Objectives

Create Objectives against

you measure performance

Enter Relevant Objectives and

click apply to save the changes


Appraisal – Comments to Approver

To give final comments to the Appraiser use “Comments to Main Appraiser” window. Comments to be

Limited to 240 Characters. Provide the comments at the time of submitting the appraisal as these

Comments can not be saved.

Click on “Submit” button to submit the Appraisal to Appraiser.


Once the Appraisal is submitted to Appraiser you will get a “Confirmation Report” and status will

change to „Ongoing‟

Login to Oracle HRMS



Select Manager Self Service


Select Appraisals from the list

Note: Do not select Appraisal from Work list




Select the Appropriate Notification

Click the Icon for giving final ratings



Click On Edit Appraisal Button

Click here to provide the rating

and comments against Competencies and Objectives



Select The Ratings from the Drop down Box and Click the ‘Apply’ button

Click here to provide comments

against Competency



Click on ‘Give Final Ratings’ Button to give final rating

Click on ‘Give Final Rating’

button to give Overall Rating



Select the final rating from the drop down, provide your overall comments and click on ‘Continue’ button

Provide Overall Comments/Feed

back to Appraisee here


Appraisal – Manager Appraisal Review & Submit

Final Review of the Manger Rating Before Submitting

Click Submit for Confirmation


Appraisal – Manager Appraisal Confirmation

Once the Appraisal is submitted you will get a “Confirmation Report” and appraisal will move to

„Completed‟ Appraisals list
