Super Celebration Evening at the Library

The Award-Winning Oregon Shadow Theatre

will perform Jack and the Dragon at 6:30 in the evening on

Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at the Forest Grove City Library

Arrive early to secure your free ticket to the show.

The King and Princess Polly have varmint trouble. Might be a pesky Unicorn. Could be a cantankerous Giant Hog. Maybe a Fire-Breathing Dragon. Who can deal with these troublesome varmints? Why, Little Man Jack, of course, the world champion varmint whacker! Colorful shadow puppets and live banjo and hammer dulcimer music bring this Appalachian fairy tale to life.

Volunteer Advocate

for Adults Living in

Long Term Care

Long Term Care Ombudsmen are free,

confidential advocates to help with any large or

small problem bothering someone living in a

nursing home, assisted living, residential care or

adult foster home (for example, poor care,

disrespectful treatment, cold coffee, medication

errors, threatened eviction, financial exploitation).

Screened, trained, and backed by state staff, the

volunteers visit licensed homes and/or respond to

calls from anyone concerned and, with the

resident’s OK, go to work to solve the problem.

The need is especially great in the Forest Grove

area, it is important and rewarding work with

flexible hours, but the program needs far more

volunteers. To report a concern or learn more

about volunteering call 800-522-2602 or visit

www.oregon.gov/ltco.
