Assisting the aging population to live safe and independent lives in the community for as long as possible has always been at the helm of the programs created and the services we have provided over the past 15 years. We have worked hard as a community to impact the lives of “invisible” seniors—those who are falling through the cracks of our community and health system. There is still so much work to be done. I’m reminded of the saying “a river cuts through rock not because of its power, but its persistence.” The persistence of those who believe in the mission and importance of continuing to create an eldercare system that puts the elder in the center is in my book, a successful system.

We are grateful that the Seniors Count Resource Guide is one of the area’s most requested publications as it relates to locating resources for seniors in and around the Greater Manchester area. Whether you are a caregiver of an older adult, a senior in need of a particular service/program or simply an individual interested in learning about services for seniors, there is much information to be gleaned from the pages that follow.
