Cosmic ConstructorCosmic Constructor is a space shooter with spaceship building

and construction of different modules for those spaceships.

In Cosmic Constructor, a player can construct his spaceship out of different modules to suit his playstyle and likings, and then

take it out to fight other space ships on different levels.

The storyBasic story - you are a bounty hunter named Joel Source, that

hunts for wanted faction leaders

You don’t have a specific faction that you are a part of, you’re a freelancer

The game doesn’t focus on the story, it instead focuses entirely on the gameplay

GameplayGameplay will consist of a player building a ship out of different modules, then going out to kill enemies on different levels, earn

money, and that way, progress through the game.

The game will also feature boss fights, as well as things like traps, static defenses and a variety of enemies for the player to

fight against

Modules for SpaceshipsDifferent modules include offensive, defensive and utility

modules.

Offensive modules mainly include weapons such as laser, standard, plasma and magma weapons that each have

advantages and disadvantages.

Defensive modules include things like different armors with different thickness, shields, as well as other things such as

reactive armor.

Utility modules will include things that boost base stats or sometime will provide special abilities.

Modules Gameplay WiseGameplay wise, there will be only space for certain amount of

modules

That means that the player might have more offensive weapons, but his survivability will lower a lot. He will have to pick and

choose

Modules can be switched around after a level is cleared.

Modules can be purchased with money earned from enemies in between the levels.

Enemy VarietyThere will be different enemy types that will play along the theme

of a certain level and will force the player to play a certain way.

-Enemies with a lot of health

-Enemies that are small and agile

-Enemies that heal other enemies

-Enemies that have special abilities that activate over time and do a lot of damage if not destroyed before activation

-Enemies with special weapons such as homing missiles or lasers which kill in one hit

Level DesignLevel Design will consists of a corridor design, with walls

blocking the player on either side, the player will be able to only go forwards but will have the ability to slow down. There will be obstacles on his way as well as of course the waves of different

enemies incoming.

Before the level, the player will be informed of what enemies they will face so that they can adjust their ship modules to that

specific battle (if they can)

Different traps will include things like walls, explosives, corrosives, laser traps as well as

many others.

Ship DesignsThere will be many different ship designs, depending on levels

and factions included

A player will be able to build any shape of a ship, whether it would be a circle or a square

The player will also be able to switch out individual parts for each ‘module’, which can either be a defensive, offensive or a utility

module.
