Introduction Summary Hello my name is Joe Clark and I am here today in order to reassure you that my ideas for a new male health magazine fits your brief.Brie commissioned by the Northern fYou have beenmagazine or newspaper product.Echo to produce a new You product could be in any style or genre but it must be self financed through sales or advertising. You must also produce your magazine for a specified audience segment within 16 to 25 age group. 4. How I aim to meet the brief In order to meet the brief that I have been set I will do the following: Make a magazine that is suitable and appealing to the Northern Echo reader, socioeconomic groups ABC1 Create a self financed magazine from sales and advertisements Selected a magazine genre that interests the targeted audience (16-24), male health because Create a high quality product through employing experienced employees. 5. Why male health? I have a strong knowledge about sport and fitness due to many years of my brother giving me lots of information. My brother is a qualified personal trainer and a sport science graduate. Around 52% of the Northern Echos current readership are men. I regularly engage in fitness therefore I have a working knowledge which I can apply to the genre. Male health is quite an expensive genre and the a high percentage of Northern Echo readers are in the ABC1 group. 6. Audience Profile -100% male audience Youth tribe will be Sports Junkies Aged 16-25 years old ABC1 socioeconomic groups Majority are college or university students - Purchase high quality brands A Sports Junkie is a young person who actively live there lives. 7. Secondary Audience Consideration A secondary audience are people who do not buy a newspaper or magazine themselves, but read a copy after the buyer has finished with it.My secondary audience are:Female friends/Girlfriends I need to consider my SA by avoiding:Taboo languageNudityRelevant informationParents 8. The Press Complaints Commission (PCC) is an independent self-regulatory body which deals with complaints about the editorial content of newspapers and magazines. Common media problems are tackled such as harassment, accuracy and discrimination.Risqu? The genre of Male Health is not risqu with very few previous noted cases being seen.
