PILGRIM MIND RETREAT IN TUSCANY May 12-18 and August 26 - September 1, 2012 A six-day in-depth journey through the landscape of your mind, your body and your energy The Path In this retreat we use a unique combination of walks through nature and intensive meditation practices. It will indeed be a meeting with our pilgrim mind--our innate spiritual faculty to deal with the unknown, the path and its ob- stacles, and its plasticity. Bodymindfulness, the method developed by Bert Schmitz and Bernadette van Boxel, offers a state of the art approach to understanding your body, mind and energy in a holistic, non-dual way. It offers a " mindfulness and awareness " training through refined exercises, insight dialogue and dreamwork, and the in- tense experience of walking in nature. It is about your innermost view and implementing it into your own life. The Walks Each day during the retreat, we will alternate meditation sessions with walks outdoors. The vibrant greens and abundant wild flowers in the Chianti will refresh us and enliven our senses. Our walks will take us through forests and vineyards, along a river and up quiet roads to hilltops with panoramic views. We will visit special places with ancient and often sacred origins, such as a site consisting of 4 concentric earth circles, likely of Etruscan origins, and a Romanesque chapel from the 11th century, where weíll enjoy a beautiful picnic lunch with breathtaking views. The walks are guided by a professional walking tour guide. Every spring is the only spring - a perpetual astonishment. ~Ellis Peters We invite you to join us this Spring or Summer at Borgo San Fedele, a thousand-year-old former monastery nestled in the heart of the Chianti region of Tuscany. The special atmosphere of Borgo San Fedele, with itís long history as a sacred place and itís natural setting will allow you to enjoy an undisturbed contact with nature and will support you in the challenging activity of an ongoing first-person and spiritual exploration.
