    (where Mr. Showman died), states that Mr. Showman had left Hobart for Waverly in 1897; but it may be mistaken by a year, since the

    May 1898 GazetteSouvenir Edition speaks of Mr. Showman as still doing business in Hobart. However, William Elder (his son-in-
