Dear Fellow Members,As we start this New Year, I

am very happy to report on some of the positive changes taking place throughout our Club. First, our fi scal health remains strong, showing favorable results after our fi rst three months of this fi scal year. Additionally, our member-ship counts also remain sound with continued growth expecta-tions. Details will be provided in our quarterly report which will be distributed in mid-January.

I am pleased to announce that your Board has voted to increase our initiation fee to $45,000, effective March 31. This is our third initiation fee increase in as many years, and it refl ects positively on our market position. It also recognizes the impact of our continued improvements to all areas of the Club, including our golf courses and the Clubhouse.

For the last several months, our Nominating Committee, under the leadership of Hedy Whitney as Chair, has worked hard to identify and recommend three new Directors for our Board. The Directors will be elected at our Annual Meeting, on March 28, 2016. Our Bylaws require us to send notifi cation of these recommendations to the membership 75 days prior to the Annual Meeting. I will mail their recommendations to you before January 13, 2016.

In early November, the USGA contacted our General Manager/COO, Don Hunter, to determine if our Club had an interest in hosting an Amateur National Championship. Don has had a great deal of experience hosting tournaments with the USGA and has their confi dence, hence the call. A couple of weeks later, a

Director of Tournaments arrived to determine the potential of our facility, including a review of our 36 holes of golf. The course review went very well and we anticipate a favorable recom-mendation.

All USGA Championship sites must meet a very strict list of requirements which include golf course challenge, condition and logistical footprint. Annually, there are only 14 sites chosen based on these parameters. The event that we are being considered to host will be for amateur golfers.

We see this as an opportu-nity to showcase our Club and gain national recognition of the championship quality of our golf experience. Being an amateur event, it will not have the same ef-fect that a tour event would have.

While this is not a PGA cham-pionship, it is a highly regarded event that provides the recogni-tion our Club deserves. As the process evolves, we will, of course, communicate all of the details and will make a fi nal an-nouncement on or before January 26. A very special thank you to Don and his leadership that makes this opportunity a reality!

Bob

Timing is EverythingHappy New Year from your

Golf Course Maintenance staff! I trust everyone is glad to be back in Southwest Florida after a very cold December in most parts of the country. Naples has been experiencing unusually warm temperatures during the last part of 2015—not that we

are complaining. If the weather phenomenon known as “El Nino” stays true to form, we should experience a little cooler than normal winter. Cooler for us here in Naples is still great.

Let’s take a moment and revisit 2015 if you don’t mind. This past year, Quail Creek Country Club has gone through some changes with your staff and how we work through our summer horticul-

tural practices to improve your playing conditions. “Timing” is very important on just about everything we do to maintain the turf and plant material to a higher standard. We learned a lot this past year. We have some new staff members on board and, as the season progresses, you will see some new faces.

The Creek Course is now two years old, and the Quail Course just had its one-year anniversary last month. We hope that everyone has been enjoying the renovations and the improve-ments. Now, go out there and enjoy all of the amenities that your Club offers.

With Pride!Kevin

ANNUAL MEETINGMonday, March 28, 2016

10:00 amCypress Room

Dear Members,The New Year means new be-

ginnings and your Club has many to report. Since this is a time for New Year's resolutions, let’s start with Fitness. We are pleased to announce a licensed physical therapist, Sarah Nault, working under the auspices of On-Site Physical Therapy, is providing licensed physical therapy for our Members who need it. The really exciting thing about this new service is that you may be able to use your health coverage and/or and Medicare to cover the associated costs. Our own Teri Brodie can help you understand how the program works.

The Fitness staff also wel-comed Bobby Lee Davenport who joins us from NCH. Try one of her classes and see what the excitement is all about. This, combined with the sport-specifi c programs being developed with our Golf and Tennis pros, means there is something for everyone. If you haven’t used the Fitness Center lately, now is the time to act on your New Year’s resolu-tion.

The Golf CoursesThe golf courses are benefi t-

ting from our aggressive work during the off season. We con-tinue to make small adjustments and address areas that were not receiving the right amount of airfl ow and sunshine, improving playability overall. We hosted a tour with some very high ranking USGA offi cials in November and they were very impressed!

The Tennis FacilityJon and his team have been

doing an excellent job of devel-oping and growing our Tennis Program. We will be doing a much needed resurfacing of all the tennis courts during the fi rst week of January. We recog-nize that tennis is an important component of the Quail Creek Country Club (QCCC) lifestyle and we will continue to support improvements.

Food and BeverageMany of you have attended

our social events and you have told us how much you enjoyed them. I would be remiss if I didn’t recognize the Welcome Back season opener and the contributions made by Cheryl Derman, Chair, Kathleen Wicklund and Marilee Wolter. They put together a night we will remember. This year’s Welcome Back event had the highest attendance in the history of the Club. We experienced increases in our holiday events as well. Thank you for your support of your Club.

Please join me in welcoming Sherri Russell, the newest addi-tion to our Food and Beverage staff. Sherri will focus on assist-ing with coordinating private parties at the Club, which, after all, is the best place for all of your entertaining needs. We have already seen some growth in our Member catering usage and, with better event coordina-tion, we will continue to develop this important service. Why go anywhere else?

New Pizza OvenChef has been perfecting his

pizza dough and working with our new pizza oven over the last few weeks. I can tell you that it is really going to be good. The oven is now located outside the

Greenside Grille. Try the new pizza and see what the excite-ment is about.

Club StandardsLast month, I spoke to you

about the changes in our Club Rules, now termed The Club Standards. You will receive a copy of this important set of documents early in January. I think you will fi nd the new docu-ments easy to read and under-stand. While I am charged with the not-so-fun role of enforcing our standards, I also know that most of you believe, as I do, that upholding standards are a pre-requisite to Club membership. I also believe that most infractions happen because we haven’t done a good enough job explaining the Standards. We are now going to do just that. Please help me by reading our new documents and help us set a “Standard” of which we all can be proud!

The Staff at QCCCTo close, I would like to say

how proud I am of the QCCC staff. They have embraced so much change so well. We are fortunate to have a staff who is proud of what they do for you. They are very excited to take the Club up a notch as am I.

All the best at Quail Creek,

Don

MEMBERSHIP SURVEY The Survey will be sent via email to all Members at the end of January. Printed copies will also be available at the Reception Desk.

UPCOMING GOLF EVENTS

I am celebrating 20 years at Quail Creek Country Club (QCCC) this year, and all as-pects of this great Club keep getting better. The golf courses are beautiful and inviting; the new management staff in other departments are enthusiastic and knowledgeable; and we have great new Members joining each month.

Our new assistant pro, Kyle Young, has added youth and ideas to the tried-and-true golf staff: Jerry Garner, 28 years at QCCC; Nate Johnson, 11 years; Pitt Commins, 10 years; and Holly Vaughn, 5 years. We promise to try to make your daily golf experience a pleasant one at QCCC.

I also want to thank Nick Gray, who will stay on in a part-time role, for his eight years of dedicated service to the Club.

Special Golf EventsHere are a few special golf

events that you really should experience:

• Gol f Pro Exhib i t ion : Thursday, January 7 at 2:00 pm. Let the pros explain their meth-ods and tips. Complimentary wine will be served and you can also sign up and play in the Nine and Dine at 3:00 pm.

• USGA Rules Seminar: Monday, January 18, taught by a USGA Rules offi cial. Choose either the 9:00 am session or the 1:00 pm session. Both include a buffet lunch. The cost per person is $25.

• All-Day Golf with Hall of Fame Golfer, Author and Teacher Dr. Gary Wiren: Thursday, January 21, 9:00 am–4:00 pm, includes lunch. At 80 years old, Dr. Wiren hit a 300 yard drive for ESPN. Let him share his knowledge and wit as it pertains to health, attitudes and the golf swing. Dr. Wiren gets $350 per hour for his lessons at Trump International, and we get his all-day seminar for $300 per person. Limited Class size—so sign up early!

Our Holiday Charity Classic was a huge success thanks to Jan Papell and Gail Martin. The creative energy of several members provided beautiful baskets for a fun raffl e and played a big role in helping the WGA raise over $12,000 to benefi t The Shelter for Abused Women & Children. Year after year, the overwhelming generosity of our members has benefi ted so many worthy causes. How rewarding to know that our unassuming golf group can make a difference for those in need in our community. Kudos WGA!

Turning the calendar to 2016, we have great golf ahead: Member/Guest “It’s All About the 19th Hole,” January 13, chaired by Jodie Ancona; Member/Member “Under the Tuscan Sun,” January 19 and 20, Elaine Christian and Alicia Kappel; Presidents Cup, February 3, Karin Clayton; WGA Invitational, February 9 and 10, Cheryl Derman and Hedy Whitney; and Color Wars, February 24, Captains Rita Quibell and Connie Good. For most of our new Members, the story is the same. They are joining because they already know Members here and have heard how wonderful our Club is. What a wonderful tribute to your enthu-siasm about Quail Creek Country Club (QCCC). You, our Members, have always been and remain our best source of new Members.

Why? The answer is obvious. This is a fabulous Club, with so many wonderful things to do. It makes sense to share this lifestyle with those you care about and invite them to join.

With our renovations almost complete, we know we have some-thing special to offer. Therefore, your Board has voted to increase our Initiation Fee for Class A and Preview Golf memberships to $45,000 effective March 31, 2016

to the 2015-16 season at Quail Creek Country Club (QCCC)! The Welcome Back party was a huge hit with a record number of attendees. Members enjoyed the Asian theme complete with food, decorations, and entertainment.

Thank you to all the Members who spent their Thanksgiving holiday with us at the Club. We had a huge crowd for that event and enjoyed serving you and your families.

There are a lot of events coming up this season to look forward to including: our Member favorite, Greek Night, on January 9; the Parade of Chefs is sure to be another huge success on January 23; then, a must attend New York, New York event on January 30. Please be sure to reserve your spot for these events early, as we anticipate sell-out crowds.

We are excited to bring you the fi rst ever Farmers Market right here at QCCC This is an event you won’t want to miss. On January 15, you will be able to buy fresh and local products right here at the Club!

To accommodate the many Member events and private par-ties held here at the Quail Creek Country Club (QCCC), we have added a new key team member. Sherri Russell has joined us as our new Director of Catering. She will be responsible for the planning of Club events, as

well as the planning of private parties, events and catering. If you are interested in hosting an event at QCCC, please reach out to Sherri. I am confi dent she will handle each detail to make your event a success. Please stop by the Club and welcome Sherri to the Quail Creek Family.

Thank you for your continued support and I look forward to a great season!

Gregg
