Sitting on the Throne Laodicea was a wealthy

and important city

Rebuilt from an earthquake without any help from Rome

Gained wealth from being located on two major trade routes

Sitting on the Throne Jesus spoke to them as

the source of creation

Without Him they could not even exist

Their complacency came from an inaccurate view of themselves
