Ancor MH-100 is a sponge iron powder which is the P/M industry standard for producing low to medium density parts. It is produced by the direct reduction of high grade magnetite iron ore. This process results in spongy particles (see photomicrographs) which have good compressibility, exceptionally good green strength and produces parts with good edge integrity. Ancor MH-100 has been produced by Hoeganaes Corporation since the early 1950's and has been the "workhorse" of the P/M Industry longer than any other powder grade. Ancor MH-100 is a sponge iron powder which is the P/M industry standard for producing low to medium density parts. It is produced by the direct reduction of high grade magnetite iron ore.
