Lisa Vonada [email protected] (814) 5712294 CALENDAR DATES Dec. 1 – Winter Session Classes began Jan. 19 – CEEL Family Night CEEL families are invited to attend the State College High School Varsity Basketball at 7:00 p.m. InService Days: Wed., Dec. 23 (if it is not a snow makeup day) Mon., Jan. 18 No School: Dec. 23 Jan. 1 School resumes Mon., Jan. 4 New Winter Session Classes Art Adam Swartz is sharing his puppetry. Students will create their own original “upcycled” puppet and learn how to bring them to life! STEM Millbrook Marsh will help students become eco explorers as they participate in fun, educational nature themed explorations. Physical Activity Soccer Shots (K1) on Wednesdays will be teaching soccer skills and the importance of teamwork, sharing, and respect. Ms. Trudy (25) on Mondays will be teaching team building, which the students love! She will also be doing circuit training. Spanish Lupe de Anda will be teaching the students basic Spanish, such as greetings, colors, numbers, days of the week, months of the year, family members, and animal words. Homework Help/Free Play Homework Help is offered to anyone in Homework Help/Free Play. One of our staff takes the students to the library to work on homework or to do other academics, such as IXL or silent reading. Outside play, board games, building blocks, and coloring are some of the choices for Free Play.

Winter Weather

Winter  approaches!    Our  weather  policy  at  CEEL  is  to  go  outside  for  recess  if  the  “real  feel”  temperature  is  20  degrees  or  above.    Students  need  to  have  snow  boots  and  different  shoes  to  change  into  from  their  boots  in  order  to  go  in  the  snowy  areas  on  the  playground.    Snow  pants  are  required  if  students  want  to  play  in  the  snow,  sit  in  the  snow,  build  snow  forts,  etc.    Please  be  sure  your  child  brings  appropriate  clothing  to  play  in  the  snow  and  winter  weather.    A  jacket,  hat,  and  gloves  are  recommended,  as  well  as  snow  gear  for  snowy  days.      The  students  enjoy  the  snow  so  please  send  them  prepared!    Having  a  large  bag  to  store  their  snow  gear  is  preferred!
