April 3, 2016 Dear Valued Member: Being a member-owned financial cooperative, we exist to serve our members. We have no outside shareholders, only members like you, which is why we focus on the philosophy of “people helping people”. Credit Unions operate democratically, which affords every member the right to vote to elect the Board of Directors. Board members are non-paid volunteers, so you can be assured that their focus is to make decisions that are in the best interest of the entire membership. The active involvement of volunteers is critical to the success of your credit union. In accordance with the credit union’s bylaws, it is the duty of the nominating committee to nominate at least one individual for each vacancy on the credit union Board of Directors.
