In accordancewith the provisionsof the WaterAuthority Act 1984, the WaterAuthority of WesternAustralia is authorisedto constructgroundwaterbores, collectorpipelinesandupgradethe pumpingfacility, being Stage2 of the JandakotGroundwaterScheme.

The Works will consist of:

a constructing13 groundwaterbores.

b constructingcollector pipelines approximately3900 metreslong and 9250 metreslong toconnect the proposedborefield to an existing pipeline.

c upgradingthe pumpingfacility at JandakotGroundwaterTreatmentPlant.

The location of the works is shown on Water Authority Plan No. CK38-0-2 and the Notice ofIntention to construct the works was advertisedon Thesday,December24, 1991.

When completedthe works will ampliIr the supply of water from the JandakotGroundwaterTreatmentPlant.

This Authorisationshall take effect from 29 May 1992 and constructionwill commenceafter thisdate.

b Collector pipelines approximately3900 metreslong and 9250 metres long to connecttheproposedborefield to an existing pipeline in BartramRoad.The pipelines will be laid below groundusing 150mm, 200mm, 250mm, 300mm, 375mm,450mm and 500mmnominal diameterpipe.The routewill be Lyon Road,BeenyupRoad, a pipe easement,TapperRoad,ForrestRoad,Solomon Road, Cutler Road, PrinsepRoad and LakesWay.The pipeline will be completewith valves and all necessaryfittings.

c It is also proposedto upgradethe pumpingfacility at theJandakotGroundwaterTreatmentPlant.Theseworks will be containedwithin the existingTreatmentPlant site in BartramRoad.The location of the proposedworks is as shown on the accompanyingplan.Whencompletedthe works will amplify the supply of water from the JandakotGroundwater Scheme.
