What are Personal Pronouns?

A pronoun can replace a noun or another pronoun.

We use pronouns like ”he”, ”her”, ”us”, ”them”,... to make our sentences less repetitive and less

cumbersome.

Mary is my sister She is my sister

Ann told Robert that Robert was her best

friend.

Subjective Personal Pronouns.

A Subjective Personal Pronoun indicates us the pronoun is acting as the subject of the sentence.

She is a teacher. We are the champions.

An Objective Personal Pronoun indicates us the pronoun is acting as an object.

A Possessive Personal Pronoun indicates us the pronoun is acting as a marker of possession and

defines who is the owner.
