I observed a silver Chrysler SW traveling northbound on S.R. 25 with an expired registration sticker (7-12) on the rear

license plate. I ran a plate check on the vehicle and confirmed the registration (OH-FOD1576) expired 07-30-12. There

was also a note from BMV to confiscate the license plates on behalf of the registrar. I stopped the vehicle and

identified the driver as Jacky Rogers. The front passenger was identified as the registered owner, Charity Wright. Both

stated they were aware the plates were expired on the vehicle. Rogers was issued a citation for Expired Registration.

The vehicle was towed by VJ's and the plates were taken and logged into Property.

I was westbound on W. Indiana Ave. when I observed a black Ford Escape (OH-FMH3998) traveling eastbound at

what I estimated to be 45 mph. I activated radar unit EG01255 and obtained a reading of 44 mph until the vehicle went

past me. There was no other eastbound traffic to cause interference. I stopped the Ford and identified the driver as

Jeanette Franklin. Ms. Franklin stated she was unaware of the speed limit. She was issued a citation and told to

provide the court with a current copy of her insurance card. Calibration checks were done at 1530 hours and 1745

hours with tuning forks 23114 and 24497.

After checking on Officer Nevers on a traffic stop (CAD-12-242), I was sitting in my marked patrol car behind her

marked patrol car, both on the right shoulder of IR 475 Northbound near milepost 3. Both patrol cars had our overhead

lights activated. I observed a white Lincoln Towncar (OH-EZB4538) approaching us from behind. There was no other

traffic at the time and the Towncar was in the right lane of travel , adjacent to us. The vehicle passed our location without

slowing or moving into the left lane, which did not have any vehicles that would have prevented her from doing so safely.

I activated my audible siren and initiated a traffic stop. I spoke with the driver, Bette Rabbit, and advised her the reason

for the stop. Rabbit stated she did not know she had to move over and that she was just trying to get home. Bette

Rabbit was issued a citation for Duties when Approaching Stationary Public Safety Vehicles - ORC 4511.213A (MM).

When I issued Rabbit her citation, she began to yell that she could not believe she was getting a ticket for this. She

then produced a nurse's identification badge from an area hospital and stated that she should not get a ticket and

explained she handles patients of ours. Rabbit was unable to provide insurance and instructed to provide it to the court.

She was given a court date of Tuesday, January 8th at 5:00pm.

While traveling Northbound on IR 475, I noticed a red Chevy (EZS2320) driving close to the far right line. I called the

registration into dispatch. Before dispatch came back with the information, the Chevy crossed over the fog line twice.

Dispatch advised the registration expired December 3, 2012. I initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Jori

Zappone. I explained to Zappone that I stopped him for his expired registration and crossing over the line a couple

times. Zappone was adamant he did not cross over any lines and stated he had not got around to renewing his

registration yet. Zappone was issued a citation for Expired Registration (ORC 4503. 11(M4)) and given a non-mandatory

court date of January 8, 2013 at 4:45pm at Perrysburg Municipal Court. Zappone was unable to show proof of insurance

at the time of stop. Zappone was instructed to present a copy of his insurance when he goes to court or pays the

ticket.

On January 5, 2013 at 1951 hours while on routine patrol, I was traveling southbound on Findlay Street when I observed

a northbound red Ford truck (EXF2100) in the 700 block of Findlay Street. The truck appeared to be traveling at a speed

higher than the posted limit of 25 mph. Radar indicated a speed of 44 mph with a corresponding audible tone. I

initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as the registered owner, James P. Feehan III. I asked James if he knew

why I had stopped him, and he advised that it was most likely because he was going 45 mph. Feehan was issued

citation # 95834 for speed 44/25 (ORC:4511.21 (B)(2)). He was unable to provide proof of insurance.Radar: Car

Officers responded to non injury accident at SR. 25 and Williams Road. Upon arrival the vehicles had been moved off

the roadway into Speedway parking lot. Denetta McGarry, operating a sliver Chevy (DY03WK), stated that the

Courtney Sizemore-Morris, operating a grey Toyota (COCO10) changed from the right southbound lane to the left

southbound lane in front of her in an attempt to turn onto Williams Road. Denetta explained that in doing so Courtney

cut her off cause her to hit Courtney. Courtney stated that she had signaled and had completely moved into the left

southbound lane before slowed to turn; when she was rear ended by Denetta. Courtney advised that she had checked

for vehicles before changing lanes and she did not see Denetta's vehicle anywhere near her. Due to conflicting

statements and a lack of physical evidence matching either statement; neither party was cited in this crash.

northbound SR 25 directly behind the school bus. Scott Sundermeier, operating a black Mercury Mountaineer

(480XYX), was stopped in the right lane of northbound SR 25 directly behind Thomas' vehicle. Sundermeier inadvertently

started to drive northbound while looking at his radio. Sundermeier struck the rear of Thomas' vehicle, causing Thomas'

vehicle to strike the rear of the school bus. Sundermeier was issued a citation for improper starting (ORC 4511.38

(MM)).
