Eagle Rider News Hello all, Hope that everyone's summer is going well. Not much going on with the Eagle Riders. We had a great dinner on July 14th, so thank you to all that came out to support the Riders and hope you en-joyed the meal. Next month we will be doing bbq chicken, corn bread, coleslaw, baked beans and peach cobbler, so be on the lookout for the time and date. The Eagle Riders will be doing a free end of summer bbq, so please make sure you have your official re-ceipt, guests will have to pay $5.00. Again, be on the lookout for that date. Ernie Archuleta Eagle Rider President

August Volunteers Recognition The Auxiliary volunteer of the month is Theresa Fugleberg. Terri was extremely helpful, putting her computer, accounting & organizational skills to work behind the scenes. Doing a final Audit for the Aerie and establishing a new domain for our news-letter, as new people filled the shoes of Aerie Treasurer. Bookkeeper, & Newsletter Editor, with your help the transitions were smooth as silk. Thank-you August’s “Many Men as one Man” award goes to the crew of volunteers that set-up, cooked and cleaned up for our 4

th of July pot luck celebration.

Thank you all for your wonderful service to our Aerie, you make us all proud to be Eagles. Please take the time to look at the picture of these great volunteers in our social room. I look forward to seeing more of you in these pictures.

Joe Caponiti I have many fond memories of the Aurora Eagles, in case you didn’t know I’m an Eagle Brat. Over the years I have seen who is al-ways on deck, who the fun people are, who got involved attended meetings, State & Na-tional conventions, who competed on Ritual Teams, hosted dinners, always made guests in our Club feel welcome, cleaned and fixed stuff, played horseshoes, pinochle, cribbage, shuffleboard, wore coconuts & grass skirts for fund raisers, swung from the rafters singing the “Battle Hymn of the Republic” at the top of his lungs. Put the true meaning in F.A.C. (FridayAfternoonClub). One name fits into all of the above descriptions, Joe Caponiti, you are an Eagle Legend in my eyes!! You are hilarious, honest, loyal and true, you have a kind heart and a dedication to this Club for 50+ years… that is Amazing. You are You. Have a safe move to West Virgin-ia; you will be missed by Many. Your Pal, Sherry Rohan P.S. If I’d have known that my being the Aux Pres, would make you move I never would have signed up, my Friend :)
