LETTER FROM THE OWNER

This condominium purchase was my first home purchase. In 2004, the year I purchased the condo, I was a single female living in the heart of D.C. While I knew that the smartest thing for me to do was invest in a home, I did not want to part with all of the conveniences of living in the city. So the search began, and I looked all over D.C., Arlington and Alexandria looking for a place that I could not only afford, but could also enjoy all of the con-veniences of urban living with easy access to Washington, D.C. The search was long and stressful, but I found more than I could have asked for in the Greenhouse condominium. Living less than 10 miles away from D.C. is great. As a busy professional working in downtown D.C., my commute was no problem! I could either hop on the Metro or Dash bus (with stops right in front of the build-ing) or drive a couple of miles to the Van Dorn metro stop and take the metro into D.C. Most times, however, I was able to drive to work, and had a quick drive to get on 395. With airport access in less then 15 minutes away, and premium shopping and dining nearby, I could not have asked for anything more. The condo is very roomy and perfect for entertaining. I’ve had numerous dinner parties throughout the almost 5 years I’ve lived here. I’ve also been able to have a number of BBQs, either by the pool area or within my home, as gas, electric and charcoal grills are permitted to be used on the balconies. The neighbors are friendly, but not meddlesome. There is a good sense of community within the collec-tion of residents. The condo is over 2/3 owner-occupied. We have fun mingling with our residents at the holiday parties and various other happy hour and informal parties that are planned by the very active Social Committee. There is also a Neighborhood watch. Our condo is very quiet and we rarely hear our neighbors. We are able to enjoy our condo without any disturbances. The entire building is pet friendly, with both dogs and cats allowed. We also have the convenience of walking to the 24-hour CVS. We’ll miss the short drive to Yamazato, one Wash-ingtonian’s top-rated sushi restaurants (sometimes we even get it delivered!!) The front desk staff is fantastic as well. They will always sign for deliveries and will receive and safely store all packages. They will also notify residents of deliveries and any visitors to each unit. Lois is our daytime front desk person and she is phenomenal and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Naomi, the weekend front desk person, is equally friendly and quite helpful. For example, one evening, we inadvertently parked in a tow away zone and Naomi called us the next day to let us know we had to move our car because the tow truck was coming. We’ve never had a problem renting the clubhouse either. I organized a 30th surprise party in that area about a year ago and it went off without a hitch. My girlfriends were also able to surprise me with my bridal shower in the same space. The clubhouse is a great place to throw parties, with its full service kitchen, restroom, and deck overlooking the pool. This neighborhood is wonderful and the location could not be more ideal! This highly desired metropoli-tan area has so much to offer and appeals to singles, couples, families, and empty nesters. Time and quality living are at a premium, and the Greenhouse condo location enables community dwellers to leverage both. The Green-house Condo has its very own workout facility for daily workouts and a pool & sauna for quick dips. During the winter months, I utilize the totally remodeled (including a new indoor pool!) Bally’s total fitness less than a mile away. In 2006, I got married and my husband moved into the condo with me. We have started our family in this condo (we have a beautiful baby boy who is almost a year old!). While we definitely have the space here to con-tinue growing our family, we have decided to move further west due to our job locations (we both have switched companies and would love to have shorter commutes so that we can spend more time with our son). We will miss the Greenhouse, and hope that you will come to enjoy it as much as we have. Life is short and filled with so many wonderful opportunities. We will miss our life here, and our wonderful home, but we must go. We sincerely hope that you find as much joy as we did in this wonderful place and we wish you well! Jeniffer Roberts
