Have you ever wondered what our grandparents voted when they were our age? Chances are it was Labour - mind you, back then Labour actually stood up for ordinary people. But not any more. They campaigned together with the Tories in the referendum. And they voted with the Tories at Westminster for £30 billion worth of cuts just a few months back. They can’t even agree with each other. Jim Murphy said there would be no cuts in Scotland. Ed Miliband and Ed Balls said there would be. The best future for Scotland is the SNP. They’ll get our voice heard in Westminster. If they get enough seats they’ll keep the Tories out and keep Labour honest and fight the cuts. That’s got to be better than the same old same old. In this general election the only way to make Scotland stronger in Westminster is to vote SNP. We know it. But do our grandparents? Maybe it’s time to let them know. Give them a call, or go round and see them.

LET YOUR GRANPARENTS KNOW WHY YOU’RE VOTING FOR THE SNP

During Scotland’s Referendum, Labour and Tories joined together to claim that pensions

would be at risk in an independent Scotland

This, despite a letter from the Department of Work and Pensions stating

clearly that independence would have ‘no effect’ on State Pensions.

Labour is at it again with their fear and smear campaign.

Last week they said SNP policies would lead to cuts in pensions, a totally false claim designed only to scare pensioners.

A claim made even more ridiculous when you look at the SNP record on older people, from free bus travel and free personal care to standing up to policies like the Bedroom Tax.

No, the really scary thing is the £30 billion worth of cuts both Labour and the Tories agree on.

With a strong SNP team at Westminster we can fight these cuts.

We can lock the Tories out of Downing Street. And use our influence to fight for extra funds for vital public services like the NHS.

The SNP want to put fairness and equality back at the heart of government.

So enough is enough Mr Miliband. Maybe it’s time you put forward a positive case of your own.

Voting SNP wil make Scotland stronger at Westminster. For pensioners, families and all of our futures.

WE SHOULD BE RESPECTING OUR PENSIONERS, NOT SCARING THEM

A strong team of SNP MPs will protect the interests of Scotland’s older people. We have created a range of policies the SNP will push for to deliver a better deal for pensioners, including:

· The retention of the Triple Lock to ensure that the state pension increases every year either by inflation, in line with wages or by 2.5 per cent – whichever is higher.

· A Single Tier Pension rate of at least £160 to lift pensioners out of means tested benefits.

· A guarantee that there should be no further increase in the state pension age in Scotland while life expectancy still lags behind the rest of the UK and Europe.

· A pledge that the SNP will oppose any attempts to end the Winter Fuel Allowance which so many pensioners rely on.
