The Classic CollectionThe fountain pens, rollerball pens, propelling pencils and ball pens are distinguished by the finely-ribbed surface typical of the Graf von Faber-Castell collection, a platinized end cap with the Count’s coat of arms and a solid cap with spring-clip for the jacket pocket. All of them are available in precious woods – reddish brown Pernambuco wood, matt black ebony, dark brown granadilla wood – as well as in a platinum-plated and sterling silver version.

A new addition to the Classic Collection are the Anello writing implements which illustrate how our writing culture can be enriched by some unusual nuances. Segments of ebony separated by fine platinum ringsform the barrel and give this series its name: anello is Italian for ring. It is also available in a fully gold-plated version.

Pen of the YearSince 2003 there has been an annual edition of a superior magnum sized plunger action fountain pen, each produced for one year only. Each pen is individually numbered on the head of the plunger mechanism and is sold in an exclusive wooden case, accompanied by an attractive brochure as well as a certificate assuring the pen is produced for a limited period only.

The Guilloche collectionThe Guilloche fountain pens, rollerballs, propelling pencils and ball pens with rhodinized fittings are available in black, indigo, coral and cognac colour. Each one is engraved individually using a method otherwise reserved for jewellery or silver accessories. The barrel is then hand-lacquered and polished. Also available in a purely rhodinized version.

A new addition to the Guilloche range is the Chevron variant which provides an interesting combination of classic and con-temporary elegance due to its engraved Guilloche pattern and its attention-catching gloss finish.

It was written a thousand years ago in the Heian capital (now Kyoto). It is the most ancient surviving full-length novel in theWorld and is highly respected as a superb literary heritage.
