ABOUT DPWelcome to Dancers Paradise, an invitational dance experience created by Scott Forsyth, Mark Ward andLukas Lock. As creators of the first all-inclusive destination competition, we have combined the elements of a competition, vacation, and intensive training environment.

This experience will be hosted at the luxurious all-inclusive resort, Barcelo Maya Beach Resort in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, May 18-23, 2018. Not only do crews have the chance to win $10,000 in cash and prizes, but more importantly they have the opportunity to meet and party with dancers from all around the world in paradise!

DAY 1 | Arrival + Tech Run Dancers arrive from around the world & settle in. Free time to nap, explore the resort & prepare for tech runs

in the Palenque Theatre. Each team will be given a set amount of time for on stage

blocking & rehearsal with music.

DAY 2 | Opening Ceremonies + Competition Day

Dancers are welcomed, teams are introduced & swag bags are handed out. Judge intros, games & itineraries. Following the opening ceremonies will be a break - then its competition time! Official all-white afterparty at Jaguars Discotheque.

DAY 3 | Official DP Pool Party + Vegas Night

Now that the competition is over, it’s time to relax and let loose. Our most anticipated event is our Massive Pool Party where we give out a ton of cash prizes at our pool-side contests. The evening features a new DP addition: Vegas Night, complete with high stakes poker, casual social games, photobooth, private DP bar + snacks.

DAY 6 | Excursion Day + Auditions

Dancers will have the opportunity to experience some of the most beautiful sights in Mexico including sacred ceno-tes and tropical forest zip-lines. Options coming soon. Audition details TBA.

DAY 4 | Workshop + Concert

Learn from the best choreographers in the community at our Masterclass Workshops followed by an intimate Q&A session. NEW for 2018! We are hosting a live con-cert with musicians, DJ’s and headlined by a Grammy Nominated Recording Artist. Lineup to be revealed soon!

DAY 5 | Photoshoots, World Volleyball Tourny + Closing Party on Beach

Morning team photoshoots in paradise & the epic af-ternoon Country vs Country volleyball tourny will start your day off. Then on to our Closing Cocktail Party on the beach where prizes, scholarships, and awards are given away and we say our final goodbye!

All entries are calculated by adding ages and dividing by the number of dancers. All cases are rounded up or down to the nearest whole number.

AGE REQUIREMENTS

Dancers Paradise is an URBAN STREET DANCE competition created for the purpose of bringing top dancers from around the world to a one-of-a-kind competition experience. While teams are encouraged to show versatility and demonstrate knowledge of various street styles, teams have complete artistic freedom. There is no “first place formula”; competitors are encouraged to be creative, unique and to ultimately be themselves.

In our commitment to being a reputable and fair competition, Dancers Paradise introduces a new method of judging that allows our judges to look back, compare, and return to previous dance group score sheets throughout the competition to make adjustments. In doing so, making sure every team is scored fairly, regardless of position in the show lineup.
