PDU2 units do not usually needmaintenance, but in some high mileageduties, a simple re-adjustment of thecarriage may be required (see p5).

Units are made to customers lengthrequirements and are available on a short

lead time.CAD files in 2D & 3D are available, andHepcos Technical Department is on handto assist with application enquiries orto undertake the design of completemechanical systems.

The PDU2 is just one of many productsoffered by Hepco to provide the solutionfor any linear motion application.

The Hepco PDU2 design allows easyconnections between axes, onto HepcoMCS and other frames and to othermachine elements.

The illustrations below show examples ofpossible configurations, and include partnumbers for the various brackets.

For the plain beam versions, please notethat tapped holes are required to suit thespecifc axis connection brackets. Also forthe the attachment of mounting brackets*and limit switch brackets in the customersrequired positions. The PDU2 will normallybe supplied with these holes alreadyinserted.

After very long service, slight play in thecarriage may develop. This can be correctedby re-adjusting the carriage, which willreturn the unit to its original condition.

Adjustment is quick and simple and may berepeated several times. The table shows themaximum carriage loading, and the calculationbelow determines the service interval.
