Home Screen• If you access the system
using the email link sent to you with your login details, you will probably already be in the PDR section of the portal.
• If not you will be at the home screen. Therefore click on the ‘Go To PDR Section’ button to get access to the new ‘Online PDR Process’
The home screen of the PDR process is displayed above. To create your first review click on the green ‘Select to Begin’ button. This will take you to YOUR personal development review.
On accessing your PDR, you will see the summary of the review at the top of the screen. Your details and the details of who will be the reviewing your PDR are displayed in this section.
The buttons in this section are there solely to help you navigate through the system, so at a click you can see your Competencies and Existing Goals.
The first section of the PDR is the Competency Factors.
The guide at the top is there to help you to gauge your competency when scoring either your review.
The Self and Manager columns are mutually exclusive, which means they will never both be active at the same time.
If you are reviewing yourself, the ‘Self’ column is active, if your reviewing someone else the ‘Manager’ column is active.
Use the drop down list to score capabilities and ensure you make comments to support your rating.
Section 1 - Competency factors Continued
There is now a ‘save changes’ button that will allow you to save your comments in the Competency Factors section as you go, and come back to it later on if required.
Section 1 - Competency factors ContinuedContinue to work through each of the competency factors grading each, and commenting where appropriate.
Once you’ve graded each one, you can click on the Submit button to move on to the next section.
It’s worth noting at this point that you can review and change these selections right up to the point you submit your goals.
The goals section is where you will review the goals set for you in last years PDR, or your mid-year review.
To use this screen:-• Select from the drop
down list your self assessment rating.
• Enter the supporting evidence to justify the self rating
You cannot modify these entries, but you can add other goals if they haven’t been captured previously, by selecting ‘Add Existing Goal’
Once you have finished rating all of your goals, click on the ‘Submit’ button at the bottom of the section, you might need to scroll down depending on your screen resolution.
You will see the following pop-up box to ask if you’re sure that you’ve finished entering your goals.
If you click on ‘No’ you’ll be returned to the ‘Goals’ section.
If you click on ‘Yes, Complete Review’ an email will be sent to the Reviewer to say the PDR is ready for Review and the online form will close and return you to the PDR welcome screen.
All you need to do now is to wait for the Reviewer to organise your Review.
Once you have completed the Goals section of the PDR, it will be locked down and you will therefore not be able to change any of the details you have entered. You can however go back into the PDR to review it.
To do this, from the PDR welcome screen, click on the ‘Review PDR’ button in the ‘My Personal Development Reviews’ table.
When you review your PDR after submitting your goals you will see that all of the fields are locked down.
If the Reviewer is not satisfied with the information you have provided to support your self-rating of your competencies or goals, they can now reset the PDR and send it back to you to update further.
This will send the an email to the you to notify you that their PDR has been sent back, and that you need to update your PDR.Once you have updated the PDR, you will then need to re-submit the PDR back to the Reviewer.
The reset doesn’t delete any information entered, but will allow the you to edit/change what they added in the competencies and goals.
Your reviewer should now contact you to schedule a face to face meeting where they will assess your competencies and goals using the same online form.
They will then set your goals for next year, and any development requirements.
They will evaluate and rank your performance and once complete will submit the evaluation.
This will fire off an email to you to say the evaluation is complete.
The status of the review on the PDR home screen will change to Reviewer Completed = Yes, and will show your overall rating. Open your review scroll through the form noting the comments. You can also comment on the Review and once your happy with the results, click on the ‘Submit Evaluation’ button at the bottom of the form.
