Crafts, Creations & Concoctions Camp #3 This week will be filled with crafts, creations and concoctions that will appeal to the inner crafter in all kids! Camp DayspringAre you ready to get out of town and have a week to remember at Camp Dayspring? Activities Include: archery, swimming, B-B’s, Bible study, singing, crafts, sno-cones, sports, team games, inflatables and more. Two campers requesting to be with each other will be honored. We will do our best to honor other requests. A certified lifeguard will be on site each day. Lunch and drink will be provided each day. T-shirt included.

Camp"GO" This camp is all about fun in the Metroplex. Each day we will “GO”somewhere new and also have tons of fun at PCBC. Planned destinationsinclude: Bowling, Jump Street, Roller Skating, GlobeLife Park home of the Texas Rangers and Obstacle Warriors (3rd–6th Graders). There will also be a variety of other fun stuff each day including gameroom games, gym activities and more. T-shirt included.

Don’t tell the kids but this hands on cooking experience will also have the campers practicing their math and reading skills, learning science, working cooperatively and developing good work habits!) We will work in small groups and learn to use a variety of kitchen tools safely. Each day includes a devotional and a tasting of the desserts we prepared. All campers will take home a cookbook of the recipes as well as a kitchen utensil.

Cooking Camp #2: Cooking is a Science (June 3–7, 1:00 pm–3:00 pm)

In this camp we will be trading in our chefs hats for our lab coats. We will make fun and exciting experiments using ingredients from our kitchen. Campers will use easy to follow instructions for their creations. We will also make cookies as a reward for our hard work. All campers will take home a book of experiments as well as a lab coat! * Cooking Camp Lunch & Movie Option #1: (June 3–7, 12:00 pm–1:00 pm) Campers will need to bring their lunches and be registered for the PCBC Cooking Camp #1 & #2 Cost: $25.00

Cooking Camp #3: Rise and Shine (June 17–21, 10:00 am–12:00 pm) In this camp we will create a variety of tasty breakfast dishes sure to please even those who are not morning people! We will use easy to follow recipes to help the campers learn basic cooking skill, work with others and have fun tasting their creations. We will also do a daily devotional on the fruits of the spirit. Campers will take home a cookbook with the week’s recipes and my favorite kitchen utensil.

Cooking Camp #4: Unicorns and Dragons (June 17–21, 1:00 pm–3:00 pm) Girls find out the secret to catching your unicorn by learning how to cook their favorite treats. Boys learn the tricks to training you dragon with thee yummy treats sure to make any dragon happy. Campers will use their cooking skills to prepare fun treats such as unicorn hay and dragon’s breath. We will also teach campers some fun ways to fold napkins and the art of setting a table. There will be a daily devotional on making good choices by looking at stories in the Bible. Campers will take home a cookbook with the week’s recipes and a unicorn horn or a fire breathing dragon designed by them.

Cooking Camp #5: Pie-Face (July 22–26, 10:00 am–12:00 pm)

Campers will learn the art of making pies. Students will learn to prepare familiar favorites and be introduced to new easy to follow recipes. We will work in small groups and learn to use a variety of kitchen tools safely. Each day includes a devotional and a tasting of the pies we have prepared. All campers will take home a cookbook of the week’s recipes as well as a kitchen utensil.

Cooking Camp #6: Gluten Free is Yummy Too! (July 22–26, 1:00–3:00 pm) Campers will learn how to cook a variety of Gluten Free dishes using easy to follow recipes. We will work in small groups and learn to use a variety of kitchen tools safely. Each day includes a devotional and will end with a sampling of the day’s treats. At the end of the week, campers will be sent home with a cookbook of the weeks recipes and a kitchen utensil.* Cooking Camp Lunch & Movie Option #3: (June 17–21, 12:00–1:00 pm)Campers will need to bring their lunches and be registered for the PCBC Cooking Camp #5 & #6 Cost: $25.00

Cooking Camp #7 – Around the World Tour (Aug 5–9, 10:00 am–12:00 pm)Get ready to stamp your passport as we travel the world of food! Campers will learn to follow recipes, measure, chop and participate in preparing dishes as they learn about culture around the globe. Each day includes a devotional and will end with a sampling of the day’s treats. At the end of the week, campers will be sent home with a cookbook and apron designed by them.

Cooking Camp #8 – Everything Chocolate (Aug 5–9, 1:00–3:00 pm) This camp is sure to please chocolate lovers! Cross Cheer Cheerleading Camps

Each Cross Cheer cheerleading camp provides a chance for girls to learn cheerleading in a fun, Christ-centered atmosphere. Camp Activities include cheers, games, stunts, motions, jumps, dance and tumbling. Tuition includes t-shirt and craft. Dancing Angels Dance Camps

BalletFrom plies to tendus and everything in between, dancers will also learn how to dance for the glory of God. Come shine from the inside out as we tiptoe our hearts for Jesus.

Jazz/Hip-HopWelcome to the coolest camp in town! From Jazz to Hip-Hop, dancers will learn funky moves that are both fun and honoring to the Lord. Come jam in this high-energy camp where it’s all about the joy of dancing.

FrozenBack by popular demand, we’re headed to the land of snow where it’s frozen forever! Dancers will learn ballet, and also valuable lessons in freedom, redemption and sacrificial love.

The Greatest Showman CampCome one come all to the greatest camp in town! Step right up and dance your heart out for The Greatest Showman …Jesus. He’s everything you’ve ever wanted!*Join us for one or more weeks of dance, praise & fellowship! All camps include daily devotionals; scripture verse cheers, a special routine and a recital for family and friends. A short video may be shown during the snack break. An optional extra hour with a Tea Party is offered each week for both morning and afternoon camps.

Gameroom Camp!This camp is the stuff kids’ dreams are made of. Spend 3 hours each day learning and playing new and classic games with other campers. Games will include bumper-pool, air hockey, foosball, ping pong and a variety of Wii video games. Campers will learn proper rules and techniques and also practice and compete in contests to improve their hand-eye coordination, strategy and precision in all their favorite gameroom games. Campers will receive a T-shirt.

Gymnastic Camps Your preschooler will have fun learning the FUNdamentals of gymnastics with bars, beam, vault, springboard, trampoline, tumbling and more! On the final day of camp parents are invited to view an exhibition and see your camper presented with a medal. All campers must be potty-trained and wear shorts, t-shirts and flip flops. Keyboard Kids Tech Detect ives Camps

Computer Detectives get your magnifying glass ready and let’s solve different cases at the places like Cyber Space, Network Neighborhood and Keyboard Castle! Detectives will unlock new and beneficial ways to use technology to be productive and solve meaningful problems. Important S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) skills are introduced as they learn keyboarding, technology, reading and writing. Veronica Jon Curioni

Veronica has given private art instruction in the metroplex for over 20 years. When working with children she usually focuses on bright, playful works that reflect the individual personalities of each child. Veronica likes to introduce many different types of media to her young students to

maximize their art experience. Veronica is a graduate of Texas Woman’s University. This is Veronica’s second year to teach Art Camps here at PCBC.

Lisa Curtiss

Lisa has owned a mobile pre-school gymnastics business for over 17 years, teaching at many Dallas area church programs. Lisa is a member of PCBC and has volunteered in the nursery, VBS and 4 year old Sunday School. She is married, a mother of four and has been very active on the PTA Board

for several years. Lisa also teaches preschool music and enjoys being a camp director with her husband Chuck at Cedar Creek Lake. She enjoyed her first Sprint Triathlon and continues to train for her next. This will be Lisa’s eighth year as our Gymnastics Camp Director.

Hayden Harris

Hayden Harris is returning for his second year as the PCBC Lacrosse Camp Director. Hayden grew up in Dallas graduating from Lake Highlands High School in 2018. While there he was on the Golf team and played Lacrosse for Hillcrest High School. Last year Hayden signed to play on the

Rockhurst University Lacrosse team in Kansas City, Kansas. Hayden’s family are active members of the Lake Highlands community and his brother is on the Lake Highlands High School Baseball team. Welcome back Coach Harris!

Callie Heydrick

Callie Graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and was a member of the UTA softball team. While pitching for the Mavericks she earned All-Conference and Pitcher of the Year awards. Coach Heydrick currently teaches Middle School

PE and coaches both MS volleyball and HS softball at Royse City ISD. She has also served on several sports ministry mission trips. This is Coach Heydrick’s fourth year to coach the PCBC Volleyball Camps. Callie is married to Jon and mom to a brand new baby girl. The Heydricks are members of Watermark Community Church.

Cole Johnson

Cole is the head boys’ basketball coach and athletic director at Legacy Christian Academy in Frisco. Coach Johnson is a graduate of Greenville College in Illinois where he earned a B.S. in education and was a member of the basketball team. In his college

Larry Barbour

Larry is the physical education teacher at Carlisle Elementary in the Plano ISD. Coach Barbour has over 25 years of teaching physical education and 15 years of coaching experience in middle and high school, most recently at Plano West Senior High School from 1999–2006. Larry holds B.S. and M.S.

degrees in health and physical education from Baylor University. He is a member and deacon at Prestonwood Baptist Church and has been involved in directing basketball camps and leagues at PCBC for the past 20 years. Coach Barbour has also been actively involved with the PCBC Upward Basketball program for the past 12 years.

Anna Berry

Anna is a wife and mom to three kids. As a member of PCBC she has taught 7th and 8th grade girls for the past four years. Anna grew up on the mission field and has a passion for serving others. She also enjoys teaching her kids how to cook by making it age appropriate and fun. Anna

has been the PCBC Cooking Camp Director for both the Summer and Holiday Cooking Camps.

Carese Bott

Carese has been a teacher for over 20 years and has taught all ages, from preschool to college. She holds a BA and MA in Speech and a MEd in English Education. She currently teaches junior high Language Arts in the Richardson ISD and enjoys reading, crafting and sporting events in her spare

time. She is a member of PCBC and helps teach 3rd grade Sunday School. Carese has been a part of the PCBC Summer Camp program for several years, working as the Director of Kids Kamp, Arts and Crafts Camp and the American Girl Camps. She is also the very proud mother of two UT Longhorns.

Brittany Cavender

Brittany has been in the cheerleading industry for over 20 years with her most notable experiences being an SMU Mustangs cheerleader, NCA Instructor, TCA coach and Cheer Athletics nationally ranked athlete. Brittany has owned and operated Cross Cheer for over a decade and enjoys the

opportunity to reach little hearts for Christ through cheerleading. This is Brittany’s 8th year to be involved with the PCBC Summer Camp program. In addition to Cross Cheer, Brittany enjoys being a wife (husband Kyle), mom to 3 precious kids and attending Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall.

Stephanie Rushing

Stephine Rushing, MS, RD/LD, CEDRD is a dietitian and exercise physiologist that enjoys promoting fitness, friendships, and fun for girls of all ages. She serves as adjunct faculty for Texas Tech University while maintaining her private nutrition practice in the Park Cities area. Stephanie and her family are

members of Park Cities Baptist and we welcome her as she joins our Sports & Recreation Ministry Summer Camps.

Brian Simpson

Brian, owner and sales contact at Triumph Sports, has worked in sports camps for 25 years and the last 15 years at PCBC. He has been a public-school teacher & coach for 10 years. While in college at Point Loma in San Diego, he interned for both the Padres (1996) and Chargers (1996–1998), majored

in Business Marketing, and played one year of collegiate soccer & baseball. Brian resides in Trophy Club with his wife and 4 kids.

Micah Sudbury

Micah earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the Arkansas State University and taught elementary school for seven years in Texarkana, TX. After moving to Dallas in 2009, Micah started Keyboard Kids, a fun STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math)

class and camp that engages and challenges children. Micah and her family are members of PCBC and she has been active in teaching Keyboard Kids classes through the Sports and Recreation Ministry for the past five years. She has been married to Hal for 15 years and they have a 7 year old daughter and a 4 year old son.

Betty Sue Welch

Betty Sue has taught and coached tennis for over 48 years. She was inducted into the Texas Tennis Hall of Fame in 1999 and into the Texas Tennis Coaches Hall of Fame in 2009. In Dec., 2018 she was named the Texas Middle School Coach of the Year by the Texas Tennis Coaches Association.

Coach Welch has a B.A. from SMU in PE and speech and an M.Ed. from UT Austin in PE and Special Ed. She is a Level 1 USPTA tennis professional. Coach Welch has taught and coached all skill levels including Special Olympics, middle and high school, college and professional. She has been directing Tennis Camps at PCBC for the past 9 years.

Emy Johnson

Emy is the Physical Education teacher at Legacy Christian Academy in Frisco teaching students from the 3 year old Preschool class on up through 8th graders. Her goal is to facilitate kids having fun while being active and to develop skills and team- work. Prior to staying home when her 3 boys were

younger, she worked in Plano ISD teaching Middle School PE and Health and coaching volleyball and basketball. Emy played basketball for the Oklahoma State University Cowgirls and earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She is married to Cole Johnson.

Tammy Owens

Tammy founded Dancing Angels in 1998, a children’s dance program that teaches its students to dance for the glory of God. She has been teaching dance for over 20 years and has held Dancing Angels camps and classes at PCBC for the past 17 years. Tammy lives in Dallas, attends

Rony Rivas

Rony is a member of PCBC and has worked in various capacities for the PCBC Sports and Recreation program for the past six years. The last two years he worked as part of the PCBC Summer Rec Staff. Growing up, Rony played for FC Dallas

pre-academy and followed up by playing varsity for Lake Highlands High School. Currently he is pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Coach Rivas works part time for Texas A&M Intramural Sports as their Soccer Sports Coordinator where he is in charge of training officials, supervisors and oversees all the intramural soccer leagues. Rony has a passion for playing and teaching soccer.

Sal Rivas

Sal is on staff at PCBC as the Sports Ministry Associate and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at Arlington. Sal has over nine years of experience working in different youth camps including five summers at PCBC. He has been the director for

Camp DaySpring, Camp GO and all Soccer Camps for the past 3 years. Coach Sal directs, coaches & referees Upward Basketball, is the director of the KickStart Preschool Soccer program and the director of the PCBC Men’s Basketball League. As a member of PCBC he is active in Mission programs and the Single Adult Dept.
