OPENING:

EXT. FRANKIE’s House, Front Door

A DELIVERY MAN is facing the grand and elaborate front

door of the Scientist’s house, grasping a fairly large

parcel.

A hand reaches out to press the doorbell, which emits an

unusually theatrical sound, totally unlike that of a

typical doorbell.

CAMERA HOLDS FOCUS ON DOOR

The sound of footsteps begins to resonate, getting

increasingly louder, as a shadowy figure begins to rise

up the windows.

The door swings open sharply, with the camera showing a

corridor that sprawls off into the distance.

PANNING SHOT, DOWNWARDS

FRANKIE, a small, somewhat eccentric child, is standing

in the doorway, staring up at the delivery man with wide

eyes.

TWO SHOT, DEPICTING FRANKIE AND THE LEGS OF THE DELIVERY

MAN

The box is dropped sharply at the delivery man’s feet, as

Frankie’s eyes light up. Frankie struggles to shift the

box through the door, as the delivery man returns to his

van.

CUT TO:

INT. Frankie’s House, Hallway

CLOSE UP, Box

The label on the box reads ‘Crackpot Carl’s Deluxe MadScientist Kit: Includes: 1x Labcoat, 1x Safety Goggles,

1x Instant Laboratory (Just Add Uranium!) and 1x Coupon

Good for One Monstrous Minion at Your Local Minion and

Henchmen Depository’.

GRADUAL CLOSE UP ON TEXT:

‘Good for One Monstrous Minion at Your Local Minion and

Henchmen Depository’

CUT TO:

REAR SHOT, Frankie is standing in the doorway, coupon in

hand. Rain can be seen pouring down past the silhouette

of Frankie.

CLOSE UP of coupon in Frankie’s left hand.

JUMP CUT to CLOSE UP of Frankie’s right hand reaching for

an umbrella.

CUT BACK TO REAR SHOT, Frankie steps through door.

FADE TO BLACK, as sound of the door closing is heard.

EXT. Minion and Henchmen Depository

WIDE, ESTABLISHING SHOT of Frankie walking towards the

Minion and Henchmen Depository.

CAMERA PULLS OUT, revealing the highly consumerist,

corporate aesthetic of the rather unusual store. Think,

Toys’R’Us meets the Little Shop of Horrors.

CUT TO:

INT. Minion and Henchmen Depository

The iconic sound of a shop bell rings out, as the camera

PANS UP AND OVER Frankie’s head, revealing the vast shop

floor, much like that of the warehouse at the end of

Raiders of the Lost Ark.

The shop is littered with glass cabinets, each housing a

unique creature. Each the perfect ‘pet’ for the right

evil genius.

Unimpressed with the immediate selection of potential

candidates, Frankie proceeds to descend the stairs into

the ‘bargain basement’.

CUT TO:

CAMERA FOLLOWING FRANKIE DOWN THE STAIRS

INT. Bargain Basement

Frankie enters the dimly lit basement, home to, what can

only be described as, written-off stock.

Among this stock, is a patchwork person, sat reading a

magazine within his cabinet. The camera PANS TOWARDS the

tag on THE CREATURE, which reads: ‘High Quality Item,

Designed and Manufactured by None Other Than the Famous

Victor Frankenstein.’

CUT TO: Frankie, with an expression of sheer glee upon

his face. The expression soon shifts, however, as Frankie

notices the fine print.

CUT TO: Label, PAN DOWN to the fine print. The fine print

reads: ‘Reduced Due to Damages- Missing Arm’.

CUT TO: The Creature shifting his missing limb towards

the camera, sighing as he gestures towards it.

Frankie cannot resist the retro charm of the creature and

instead of rejecting him, he attempts to repair him.

Frankie enters the cabinet and equips The Creature with a

rudimentary limb, fashioned from his umbrella. He breaks

off the handle and fastens the umbrella to what is left

of his arm.

Overjoyed by his new and improved limb, The Creature

befriends Frankie.

CLOSE UP of Frankie shaking ‘hands’ with The Creature,

grasping the end of the umbrella.

CUT TO:

EXT. Minion and Henchmen Depository

The bell rings once more as the two leave the shop,

stepping out into the pouring rain.

CLOSE UP of Frankie cowering from the rain, as The

Creature nudges him closer. Frankie glances up towards

The Creature, as he smiles down towards him and opens his

umbrella above the two of them.

FINAL REAR SHOT of Frankie and The Creature, walking side

by side, on their way home.
