Our reason for engaging you as Citizens of Woodfordia is to continue that tradition, to build a greater network of passionate and informed Woodfordians that will help us with our sometimes lofty and idealistic dreams. We suffer from pathological optimism and we hope it’s contagious. Below is a summary of the sessions planned for the day - our hope is that you’ll find something that you can lend your head, hands and heart to. School for Woodfordia Tree Woodfordia keen to look at establishing a bush primary school at Woodfordia sometime in the near future as a new business in education Woodfordia style. Join the meeting if you have thoughts or skills about any part of making the school happen to help build the vision. Bienvenue a la Bohème Tree Continued The Bohemian Tree is moving to a venue that celebrates the cultural influence of all things French. We’ll need a new name that captures France, New Caledonia, French Canada, Reunion Islands and French Africa and develop a new venue for the 2019/20 festival. Tout le monde est bienvenu. Propaganda Party In the last session of our party we came up with a great range of ideas to improve our distribution systems to better target the people and communities that can be the most advantageous to Woodfordia. Ambassadors, embassies, FAQs, survival guide, live webcam, a social media army and much more! We also identified information that we needed from the management team to guide the direction we should take. This time, let’s get our hands dirty. Let’s look at the data and come up with a holistic, concrete and implementable propaganda plan. Artisan Camp Tree After two years of the Artisan Camp, we know the concept of it works and now Woodfordia needs to build a community of people charged with the idea and keen to help. Parliamentary Parties and Tree Sessions Dept Heads & Offsiders Meeting Richard will walk us through the process of ordering supplies, radios and vehicles. Karen will talk about the new volunteer initiatives we’ll be launching as well as talking about organiser and volunteer support mechanisms we’re putting in place. Lastly, we’ll go over how camping is going to work this year for folks in The Prairies. 1

Renewable Energy PartyMembersofthisgroupwillbeconsideringtakingthefirststepsoninstallingsolarenergyforWoodfordia’sofficeand update the meeting on the commissioned interim report on the hydro pump proposal.
Shake Shake Shake that Money TreeBuilding on ideas generated at the inaugural Parliament Day, a number of strategies have been outlined for growing the primary branches of the Money Tree (bequests, philanthropy, donations). This session will further refinethosestrategies,and(hopefully)populatetheidentifiedaction-itemswithwillingandablebodiestotendthe branches and help them bear fruit. The Money Tree might be a slender sapling now, but in 500 years it will be strongandmighty!
Social Programme TreeCome and join the Social Programming Party where we put on our party hats full of ideas to make our future Citizens Days fun, meaningful and interactive events for all Citizens. We need creative folks to brainstorm and drive more activities that bring us all together for a great weekend. Let’s make our Citizen Days one of our “not to miss events” on our Woodfordian calendar.
Mad Hatters Tea TreeWe meet again to discuss some drafted rituals, to look at and improve before presentation to the wider group. The session is aiming to make the Mad Hatters Tea Party the social event in the Woodfordian entire calendar.
Governance PartyThis will continue on from the May 2018 session which addressed changes to the wording of our constitution, toinclude‘scienceandtechnology’inourobjectives,whichwillenableustoqualifyforR&Dgrants.Alsointhatsession,adraftversionofamissionstatementforWoodfordiaInc.wasbegun.Iftimeallows,thesessionwillcontinue to add to this important statement.
Citizenship TreeTolookthroughtheplansdraftedlasttime,torefinethem,distillthemwithaviewtopresentingthemtothelargergroup.It’saworthydiscussiontokeeponhaving,whatitmeanstobeaWoodfordianCitizen,sodiscusswewill.
JWITI (Jinibara Woodfordia Indigenous Training Initiative) TreeThisestablishedgroupisworkingonaprojectatWoodfordiathataimstooffertrainingforIndigenouspeople.Thisis a closed group by invitation only.
The Pool PartyWoodfordiawillbeconstructingaswimminglake,scheduledtocommenceinJanuaryafterthefestival.Now’sthetime to start building a business plan. There’s a lot to consider. How can Woodfordia leverage to get a return on its investment?
These tree sessions and parties have been confirmed. More may be added and if so, a fuller and more final programme will be emailed out next week.
