Our mission is to encourage and help young people develop PHYSICALLY, by improving their physical condition.

EMOTIONALLY , by building feelings of self –esteem

First Practice will be Monday 12 March 2012 at 6:00 p.m. Practices are held weekly on Monday, Wednesday, & Thursdays. 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Methodist University Track.

•Water bottle (MANDATORY)

•ARRIVE on TIME and start the warm-up.

•Wear proper clothing and equipment (practice shirt, shorts, sweat bottoms, running shoes, GOOD ATTITUDE)

•Attendance: We require that athletes attend at least 2 practices.

•Rain: There will be NO PRACTICE if it is raining. Please review team website under blog

•Coaches are responsible for unattended children and can’t leave until all children have been picked up. Please pick your athlete up promptly, we do not want to become babysitters.

•If you need to talk to the coach, PLEASE wait until the end of practice, or make some other arrangements.

•Monitor http://fayettevillerockets.net for last minute meet postponements or cancellations due to inclement weather.

•Track and Field Meets are a bit of a 3-ring circus-organized chaos

•Only 2 meets are in Fayetteville, remaining are outside Cumberland County (Durham, Raleigh, Myrtle Beach)

•Meets start at 8:00 am and run until mid afternoon, pending number of teams (usually ends 4:00 pm)

•Closed Practice!!! Absolutely no one is allowed on the track (except Coaches, athletes, and volunteers.) please stay off the track & field unless assigned as a volunteer

•Please pick up any trash you are responsible for and dispose of it properly.

•Only water and Gatorade is allowed on the track & field

•All youth must be escorted by a coach or volunteer to the restrooms

•Please promote sportsmanlike conduct and be a role model for our athletes
