Jr. High Summer Mission Trip June 28 – July 4, 2009 Winchester, VA The Trip: o We will be serving with the Jeremiah Project in Winchester, VA o This trip is for current 6-8 th grade students o Winchester is located about 175 miles from Williamsburg o We would leave right after church on Sunday, June 28 th 2009 o We would return Saturday, July 4 th 2009 in the early afternoon The Cost: $500.00 o $100.00 Deposit due by December 21 st , 2008 (non-refundable) o $100.00 YouthBucks (each junior high student is required to raise these funds on their own through babysitting, raking leaves, mowing lawns, etc) o $300.00 Raised by mission support letters, fundraising, etc. Youth Commitments: these are mandatory 1. Pray daily for the trip, the other team members, and the people you will be serving 2. Youth must complete a mission survey – the mission survey will be available later this week 3. Youth must raise their own YouthBucks 4. Consistent Involvement in Local Service Projects with the youth ministry (75%) 5. Consistent Involvement in Youth Programs – youth group, special events, Sunday school, Bible studies, etc. 6. Attend monthly mission trip preparation/prayer meetings – beginning January 7. Mandatory Preparation Retreat – Date TBA later this week To sign up, go online to http://newtownyouth.blogspot.com/ o Click on ‘Parent Blog’ o Jeremiah Project Mission Forms will be located on the top-right hand side of the blog o Click on the forms you need o Once you have the documents opened up, click ‘Download’, click ‘open’ or ‘save’, and print them off. ** You are not officially signed up until you turn in… o Youth & parent mission surveys o Mission team commitment form o $100.00 (non-refundable) deposit.
