PAPA Image Competition 2013 The PAPA International Image Competition has grown to become one of the most enjoyed and beneficial programs hosted by PAPA. As more members work toward earning their Masters Award, the quality of images has increased substantially, and participation has sky-rocketed. All members are urged to participate in this program.

Be on the look out for your best images and be ready to submit them to the

PAPA 2013 Image competition! Images will be judged in five categories:

Commercial: Described as shot on the job, your best view for the client, an image

of commercial value.

Artistic: Described as fine art photography, unique or abstract. Images that push

the envelope. Photos that hang on someone's wall as a piece of art.

Scenic: Described as images that are pictorial, a landscape or cityscape, great stock

shots and panoramic views.

Air-to-Air: A photo taken of an aircraft from an aircraft. Photographers are urged

NOT to attempt this type of photography unless schooled in safe practice techniques.

Formation flying experience and or instruction are vital for a successful and safe air-

to-air shoot. This cannot be stressed enough.

Construction Progress: Aerial photography as a way of documenting the work of a

client’s construction project It can be a single shot, a progress shoot photomontage

of several pictures taken over a period of time, or even a one day photomontage of

several images. An entry fee of $25.00 will be charged for each image submitted, with a maximum of ten (10) images per photographer, not to exceed two entries in any given category.

Things & Dates to remember! Everything is digital again this year-NO PRINTS Read the entry rules carefully. Click here for complete rules Full details and how to enter this year's competition & Image Competition Entry Form

Deadline for entries is March 5th, 2013.

PAPA Master Awards Every year we honor those among us who have earned their Master Aerial Photographer Designation. The Masters Award is the highest award that can be earned by a member of PAPA International. To qualify for this award, the individual must illustrate a well-rounded knowledge of Aerial Photography. The award is earned, based upon the accumulation of points for various activities and participation within PAPA International. The Masters Award Program is part of PAPA's on-going commitment to the promotion of high standards within the aerial photography business. Points towards the Master Award are accumulated by PAPA members demonstrating exceptional photographic skill, and by actively participating in the PAPA organization. Only a few individuals each year will earn their PAPA Master Award Certificate. PAPA does post members’ Master points on the PAPA website and members can review their points at any time. Please be sure to make sure that YOUR points are up to date. For complete information about qualifying for the PAPA Master Award, visit the PAPA website: PAPA Master Award Information
