Panasonic Factory Solutions Asia Pacific (PFSAP), Singapore is committed to sustainable environmental contribution andcontinued to achieve our key environmental targets for FY2018 from 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2018 as follows:1. Energy usage (CO2 emissions) – 122% (actual vs. plan)
2. Water usage – 116% (actual vs. plan)3. Waste generation – 170% (actual vs. plan)4. Chemical substance usage – 168% (actual vs. plan)5. Number of environmental activity – 175% (actual vs. plan)
In terms of clean renewable energy, our implementation of the solar panel leasing scheme project which was officiallycommissioned for full operation since October 2016 also contributed to the following encouraging results in FY2018:1. Reduction of CO2 emissions – 702 tons
2. Energy cost savings – S$8,270
With such positive results, PFSAP will continue to support this significant initiative and achievement of solar energy generationfor the company.
In addition, environmental conservation activities carried out internally by PFSAP included air con temperature audits, air leakdiagnosis checks, energy and water conservation improvement for agricultural production, monthly eco patrol, waste-is-not-waste recycling program, environmental clean-up day in June 2017 (Panasonic Environment Month) and the various promotionalactivities conducted during the annual QES (Quality-Environment-Safety) Month campaign in November 2017.
This year, for One-Panasonic environmental activities completed included cross company compliance assessment, natureappreciation walk at Southern Ridges / Kent Ridge Park and terrarium workshop at HortPark as well as 10% energy and water
grand challenge (10th anniversary) to encourage all Panasonic employees to save electricity and water at home.
We have also taken the opportunity to revamp and update our eco corner located at the company’s main lobby for a refreshinglook with new features, quiz questions, information and displays.
Finally, as an existing ISO 14001 certified company, PFSAP has scheduled to carry out the conversion as well as surveillanceassessment for our Environmental Management System (EMS) to the New ISO 14001:2015 Standards in May 2018 ahead of thetransition timeline of September 2018.
As part of global Panasonic corporate commitment, PFSAP would continue to drive environmental programs and activities forthe purpose of environmental protection and conservation.

PFSAP ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Panasonic Factory Solutions Asia Pacific (PFSAP) is fully committed to the protection of the environment, prevention ofpollution, compliance with current environmental legislation and fulfilment of our compliance obligations. In addition, we arecommitted to continual improvement of the environmental management system to enhance environmental performance of ourcompany.
The Environmental Management System (EMS) operated within PFSAP is designed to comply with the requirements of ISO14001 standard.
In implementing this policy, we are committed to: -
▪ Ensure our activities, products and services comply with the environmental legislation and regulations and the requirements ofPanasonic Corporation, Japan.
▪ Establish and achieve our environmental objectives and targets.
▪ Formulate and review environmental procedures to ensure effective support of the environmental management system.
▪ Promote actively and ensure prudent use of materials such as oil, coolant and utilities to prevent pollution and minimizewastage.
▪ Communicate our Environmental Policy to our employees, sub-contractors and suppliers and make it available to theinterested parties.
