    Message From Chairman

    Sid Dinerstein:

    Rumpelstiltskin Lives

Go ahead. Scratch your heads. Try toremember the Rumpelstiltskin fairy tale. Here are some hints. Rumpelstiltskin waswritten by the Brothers Grimm in 1812, astory of a poor millers daughter who

    becomes a queenafter she befriends

Rumpelstiltskin. Hisskill? He could spinstraw into gold, overand over again. Andthats why thisarticle starts withhim. Of course therewere other Rump-

elstiltskins. In the fourteenth century agroup of early chemists, since known asAlchemists, claimed they could turn leadinto gold. Naturally they were in great

demand. Other Alchemists used othermetals but the lead people are mostremembered.

Fast-forward to 1637 and the Dutch TulipBubble. This was a case where tulipbulbs, known for their color and beauty, became worth small fortunes on the betthat they had medicinal and curativepowers until the bubble burst. Then theytanked like a Miami condo.

All these examples have one thing incommon. They make us laugh at thegullibility of the market, people buyingand selling obviously low value items foroutlandish sums. Of course wegive Rumpelstiltskin a pass. His audiencewas six year olds. They dont have toknow better.

The point is: Stop laughing. Here in 2012we take pieces of paper, put pictures of

    The Great American Love Story

    By Margi Helschien, Vice Chairman,

Republican Party of Palm Beach County

Abigail and John Adamsare our greatest love story, separated more than theywere together. Historyknows them as Abigail, thewife of a Founding Father, and President John Adams. They shared a bond thatwas built on their

friendship, and not just with each other, but for thelove of their country. And as a couple, the two were

the closest presidential couple we have ever seen in ourhistory. Abigail and John were life-long partners.

They had five children together and knew each otherfor 59 years. She was his confidant in life. Abigail wasalways there for John, supporting his ideas and goals.Even when John was President and the rest of thecabinet would not speak to him, Abigail was the one tolisten to John. It was Abigail who would listen toJohn's rants, and it was Abigail who would freely andwisely offer her advice. It was also Abigail who

brought the strength and support to their marriage andto John's successful career. Perhaps that is where weget the saying behind every successful man is awoman. Abigail was John's dearest friend.

John depended on his Abigail. He also allowed Abigailto voice her strong opinions, which was not common atthat time. When John and Abigail were separated bydistance, it was John who cried out to his Abigail, Ican do nothing without you! (from the book FirstFamily by Joseph Ellis).

Abigail and John were so close that Abigail wouldworry about John when they were not together. Onhearing about John's difficulties with a campaign beingwaged against her husband in the Congress in 1780,Abigail painfully exclaimed, When he is wounded, Ibleed.

Separated by almost five years with distance, due toJohn's political appointments, together John andAbigail wrote over 1,200 letters to each other. These

letters are filled with day-to-day life, problemmilestones, and joyful moments. However, they alare filled with the close communication that John anAbigail had together, even though they were miles, ansometimes oceans apart.

John was at Abigail's bedside when she died. I wishcould lie down besides her and die too, John said tears (from First Family). John missed their daiexchanges, he missed his Abigail, and he came regard heaven as a place where Abigail was waiting f

    him.

And so this ValentinDay, we take heart thour own John an

Abigail Adams are ocountrys original anbest American lovstory!

    Happy Valentines Da

    John and Abigail!

dead Presidents on them, lend them to banks f

under one percent, and declare ourselves rich. And this not just a small counterfeiting action involving a fethousand dollars and a small number of gullibpigeons. This is the Federal Reserve, the President, thCongress and the Supreme Court supporting thcreation of trillions of paper (electronic, actualldollars and proclaiming a healthy economy. Nsavings. No investment. No profit. Just print andeclare victory. Indeed, they even have a name for Quantitative Easing. Now you can feel better as theQuantitatively Ease America into bankruptcy. If yo

think the Dutch and the Alchemists were laughed at bhistory, as they say in Brooklyn: Fuhgedaboutit! Wwill be laughed at by future generations as the dumbeof the dumbest. In this time and place they are foolinall the people all the time.

If the Brothers Grimm were around today, they migconsider updating Rumpelstiltskin and weavinanother fairy tale. Me? Id vote no. There are no s

    A Moderate Republican Nominee For

President Again?By Tom Mullings, REC Committeeman

We need to vote for Romneybecause he will appeal toindependents and centrists and isthe only Republican candidate whocan beat Obama. I am so tired ofhearing that kind of politicalcalculus. What people dont seemto realize is that not only have weheard it before, but Republicanshave acted on it, numerous times.

Thats how we wound up withmoderates or just-to-the-right-of-center candidates likeGeorge H. W. Bush, Bob Dole and John McCain. All goodmen to be sure, but their consistent willingness tocompromise with out-of-control Keynesian deficit spendershas resulted in an Everest-sized mountain of debt that justkeeps growing year after year.

Now here we go again with calls to elect yet anothermoderate, this one from the Peoples Republic ofMassachusetts, of all places. Has anyone noticed that everytime a conservative starts to gain traction, pro-RomneyPACs with assists from the drive-by liberal media springinto action to bring them down? Has anyone also noticedthat the same liberal media has been remarkably uncriticalof the Romney campaign?

I am fed up with the liberal-dominated print/electronicmedia, steering us conservatives in the Republican Partytoward a more moderate standard-bearer of THEIR liking. Isay we pick our own conservative candidate for a change.

To be sure, Governor Romney is also a good and decentman, and I would wholeheartedly support him if he is ournominee, but my own preference is Newt Gingrich. Iveseen all the debates and his performance has been a tour deforce. For my money, he is the most formidable, eloquent, knowledgeable spokesman for the conservative cause inAmerica today, and I would love to see him debate TheAnointed One. He also does something else unlike anyoneIve ever observed on the American political scene. Hetakes on the liberal media and exposes them for theagendized allies of the left that they truly are, instead of theobjective journalists they pretend to be.

As they say, Newts got baggage, but who doesnt? Half themarriages in the country end in divorce and most of those

have at least one angry spouse. Are we going to eliminafrom presidential politics all those who have had failmarriages? Worse yet, are we going to allow the drive-bliberal media, who defended Bill Clinton ad nauseaduring the Lewinsky scandal, to now lecture to conservatives that a contrite Newt Gingrich is not morenough for the presidency? If hes good enough for SarPalin to support, hes good enough for me, and I wourespectfully urge my fellow Republicans to do the same.

Message from George Blumel:The War of 2012 Is On

The article written last monthby our Palm Beach CountysRepublican Chairman appliesto all Americans who careabout the future of freedomfor ourselves and ourposterity. He tells it like it isand what needs to be done. It's 2012 and time to work toreplace Obama with a realAmerican. Sid Dinerstein

wrote a book a few years ago, Adults Only ForThose Who Love their Country More Than TheirParty, in which he offered common sense solutionsfor the main problem issues of the day. Virtually allof the problems he cited there have been exacerbatedby the Obama administration and Congress by doingthe opposite of Sids solutions offered in that little

book. Of course, Sid is a successful businessmasomething unknown to this administration consistinas it does with lifetime left wing activists who havnever worked in the private sector. One of hsolutions is term limits on Congress, a costlereform with proven history in the states for attractinsuccessful producers from the private sector to utheir experience and talents for real public servicThis year is critical for the future of the RepubliLets get into battle mode and make sure that in 28Days Obama and his czars are sent packing

And the Idiot Award goes to...?By Raymond Tresca

While the media isdoing what the media

does best, that is spendevery waking momenttrying to make fools ofRepublicans, I rhetor-ically ask, are you surethat shoe is on theright foot? When a

Republican experiences a faux pas, or a pause thatlast more than a few seconds, it is amplified, magnified, enhanced, and augmented. It is then

distributed to all the major networks, affiliates, blogs and far-reaching outposts. While we asindividuals couldnt possibly listen to all of thembecause of sheer numbers and since many areoccurring at the same time, we leave it up to thosefew allies we have with the resources to do so. Weare then treated to a montage of all our liberalfriends barking out the exact same line asinstructed in their morning marching orders. Howis it that 25 or more news sources can begin a

news story with such unanimous precision? They report it, hammer it, pat each other on theback, and roar with laughter. You want laughter?Joe Biden. Ill give you a moment to composeyourself... While the buffoonery of this man isunparalleled, his boss thinks there are 57 states andthat he is such a great orator that even fallen warheroes find their way to his audience. Mr.President, did you play a little boy in a movie withBruce Willis? Damage control does a superb job

of smoothing it over, or like the TV advertisementsays, like it never even happened.

Major Owens who was a member of the House ofRepresentatives from 1982 to 2007 stated on theHouse floor that 200 million slaves were thrownoverboard during the Trans Atlantic crossings. While you are running the numbers, I remind youthat this is about the numbers, not about slaveryitself. He said that to this day, sharks still swim the

routes in search of prey. I must have missed thepisode of National Geographic. RepresentativHank Johnson of Georgia gave us a skit that woumake the Best of SNL, if only they would havthought of it first. Lets just say he seemed in very, very relaxed state while he asked AdmirRobert Willard if Guam could capsize with 8,00additional US troops. A true warrior is one of thfew who could field that question with a straigface.

Debbie Wassermann Schultz, the national attacdog of the Democrats, said that New YorkDistrict 9 was a tough one for DemocratDemocrats outnumber Republicans 4 to 1 in th

district. Republicans had not held that seat sincaround when Coolidge was President. AnthonWieners self-destruction may have softeneDemocrat support.

Brigadier General Michael Walsh wareprimanded like a schoolboy by Barbara Boxefor using standard and totally appropriate militarlanguage; at least it was until then. You pompouarrogant, elitist, how dare you. Nancy Pelosi, th

Commander in Chief of the most ethical antransparent Congress ever, told us they would havto pass health care legislation so We the Peopcan then find out what was in those 1,990 pages.

Former President Bill Clinton, the Democrat rocstar, said during grand jury testimony, thdepends on what the meaning of the word is, isDuh!

So, former candidates Michelle Bachmanconfuses Elviss birth date with the date of hdeath, Rick Perry forgets a government agencand Herman Cain pauses too long. Any one othem could be the Grand President of RockScientists compared to any of them. And if therwere any real justice, all of the aforementioneDemocrats would be assistant dogcatchers.

    Congressman West

    Brings Down the

    House!

The most inspiring messageof the night came fromCongressman West, whoreceived the loudestapplause before he even

uttered a word. There is nothing that compares to hearinthis man of principles speaking with passion, live in persoThe self-proclaimed number one target for the DemocrParty, in describing our opponents, said the history of thDemocrat Party is all about slavery, secession, segregatioand today its about socialism. West then reminded thaudience that the entire purpose of the Republican Partyexistence from Lincolns time was for freedom, thEmancipation Proclamation and individual liberty.

Keynote Speaker Newt Gingrich Delivers Big

    Ideas, Gets backing from Cain

Presidential Candidate Speaker Newt Gingrich, fightingtough Florida primary battle against Governor Mitt Romnand Sen. Rick Santorum, appeared for his second LincoDay Dinner in as many years. Gingrich stated he

determined to prove he is serious about changinWashington, but that the job is too big for any onPresident. He therefore asked everyone not to be for hibut to be with him, and that his desire is not to run Republican campaign but an American campaigNever again should an American President bow to a Sauking, said the former Speaker of the House. Regarding teconomy, Gingrich stated Obama is the best food stampresident in American history. I want to be the bepaycheck president in American history.

The biggest surprise of the evening came from form

presidential candidate Herman Cain, who was called to thstage and greeted with raucous cheering. Upon announcinsupport for Newt Gingrich for President, Cain stated thstate of the Union is not good, and that we have a crisis

leadership in the White House. Cain said that he had in his heart to endorse Gingrich for a long timbecause, among several reasons I know that SpeakGingrich is a patriot, [he] is not afraid of bold ideaandI know he is going through this sausage grindbecause he cares about the future of the United State

    Republicans Rock! Youth Anthem

The Obama 2008 race was enthusiastically supportedby the younger people and college kids. Obama knewhow to promise what they wanted to hear and toinclude them. I watched the Republicans that wantedto include the younger people but had no idea and theywere not targeting the message to the right group.

The attention span of a younger person is short, reallyshort. They also do not do just one thing at a time. They are texting, watching YouTube, and listening totheir iPods all at the same time. If you do notimmediately capture their attention, they are on to thenext thing. I understood the importance of this fromwatching the kids in my son's school at Pine Crest. They loved Obama. After all, Obama'scampaign spoke to them. The Republicans did n-o-t-h-i-n-g for the younger voters!

When I became President of the Boca RatonRepublican Club, I vowed to myself that I would leaveno young voter behind! I made sure we included atable each time for young voters. The local collegesjoined the Boca Raton Republican Club, which becameknown as "the friendly to young voters" club. Eachmeeting I included young people in our programthrough reciting the pledge of allegiance, speaking fora few minutes, and just making sure they felt included. When I became elected to the Palm Beach CountyRepublican Party as Vice Chair I started saying at allof the meetings and including in my emails"Republicans Rock!" Now, all I have to say is "Andremember Republicans...and people shout outROCK"! [email protected] is the emailI developed for people to communicate to us, making ita fun way for everyone to be involved. But I knew we

still had to do more. My son Chase, who had been tooyoung to vote in the last election, was starting to askquestions about Republicans and Democrats and hewould watch a little when Fox News was on. Hethought it was cool that a politician had the ability toimpact so many people's lives. "Well, write about it," Itold him.

A few weeks later, Chase, who is also a songwriter;came to me with a song he wrote "Young and Free"

Republicans Rock! Chase went to a recording studin Miami and recorded the song along with a friennamed Alexandra Hunt, and then I sent the song to test group of college students, who loved it! AshleAnastasi, a student at FAU, a former President of th

Florida Atlantic University College Republicans anvolunteers with Allen West, told me "my sister andhave been singing the song all weekend." I knew thnext step was to put it to the Republicans Rock TStation I formed through YouTube. Kowing we weon to something big, I spoke with Dave Burgess whheads up the advanced film and TV studio at PinCrest school in Ft. Lauderdale. I played him the sonand he loved it. Dave put me together with two of thmost talented young men (watch out world) JoshuAronson and Adam Weiss. Both boys are students

Pine Crest, and after a few meetings it was decided make the film through a new advanced technologcalled Kinetic Technology. Thus, "Young and FreRepublicans Rock has been born.

I believe that reaching out to our young voters is verimportant. And although they may not have all thsame issues as adults, they too have issues. They ajust entering the world of adults, and it is up to us to bthere for them, guide them, and include them. Wshould not shun them and make them feel like they d

not matter and that their concerns do not counGrowing up is not easy; when you can vote at age 1the issues that are put before everyone to vote on anot always understandable or relatable to a younvoter. We need to remember their vote counts!

This song will have a huge impact on the future. have already seen a few of my younger son Carterfriends say "being a Republican looks cool."

"Even cooler, I said to one friend, "is to be able

vote Republican. After all, "Republicans Rock!"

    Have a great day,
